😋 The Yummiest Place in Town! Not only they can satisfy your cravings for cakes & pastries but have some of your favorite prepared comfort foods like Mac 'n Cheese, Shepherd Pie, Touche Pie and I thought there was Lasagna. Frozen with baking instructions. Enough to feed a family. Even in this very cold weather, the baking aroma lingers around the building, thank you! 🙏

While I heard about this place for years, I finally popped in while commuting between Portland and Jackman. Their specialty coffees are superb and far superior to a chain coffee establishment. The pretzels are the best in the state! Make sure you grab one. I also picked up a few meals for my family. While the prices might seem high, the quality makes up for it. The tourtiere pie is savory and perfect with a side salad. The mac and cheese was so good that I picked up a large portion on my next visit. Also, not pictured is the shepards pie. It is also a savory masterpiece and made "cooking" a breeze. While picking up the items, a local customer told me I needed to try the turkey pie. She said you'll never cook a turkey again! In short, you can't go wrong by visiting the Skowhegan staple!

After speaking with Matt, he was very helpful in correcting the issue with our cake so I am updating my review to 5 stars! I will definitely recommend others to get their wedding cakes here as well, it was a beautiful cake!

The Bankery is located in downtown Skowhegan , Maine but once you step through the door you feel transported like your in a bakery in the North End of Boston! The bakery itself is located inside an old bank so it gives it a very unique charm and feel. There is another side to the Bankery called the Fleuriste. I’ve not done any business there but as the name suggests they do flowers , have a gift area, wedding services and formalwear rentals. Honestly if you’ve never tried this place out put it on your to do list! It’s a must. I’ve enjoyed trying everything there and have never been anything but thrilled! They have all kinds of desserts, breakfast pastries, breads, coffee , cookies and prepared meals. All good! My favorites are there sandwich cookies… there unbelievable! They have many types , I love the ginger snap and my husband the M&M. The flavor of filling they use is perfect and they give a perfect ratio of cookie to filling! There amazing! The breakfast pastries are so fresh and taste fabulous! If it’s not on your morning routine yet this place is the perfect stop for coffee and breakfast! They have all the coffee options from your standard cup to a latte, all done great! They have a variety of prepared meals. Mac and cheese, veggie and cheese lasagna, different types of pot pies and I’m sure a few others I’m missing. I’ve only tried the veggie lasagna so far but it was excellent! $27.50 for a large and I’d say it feeds at least six people. Flavor was great and it was easy to cook! Very pleased. Like I said it’s an amazing place that you’ve got to try, you will thank me I promise! Enjoy!

Wow - best cake experience ever! They were very accommodating and were able to make a beautiful birthday cake with only 5 days notice. This was the most gorgeous cake I have ever seen!!! I told them “mushroom nature vibes” and this is what they came up with 🙌 We got marble with chocolate ganache and it was to die for! Paired with a glass of raw milk - absolute perfection. Will definitely be a returning customer!

A definite must try! I would have given 5 stars, but I called about a certain pie and was told they had some. I asked to save me one and I'd be there in about 15 minutes. However, once I got there, I was told they were out and they won't save pies. After talking with the owner about it, he made me one and I greatly appreciate that. The place is always clean, the people are friendly and the food is amazing.

The cakes and pastries here were amazing. If you're ever in skowhegan Maine you have got to stop. This iconic Bank turns bakery is a must stop on your trip. Guaranteed to put a few calories on but definitely worth it.

The pastries are absolutely phenomenal! All of their food is good, and I recommend going here.
