Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I've never had a donut burger before but I'm a fan. Atmosphere was great for the playoffs! Thank you so much for the "special drinks" we asked the bartender to make, they were so good 🤤🤤
This place appears to be known by locals, and I can see why. Its setting is very sports bar type, but with great food selection. I had the steak with grits, which was delicious and great drink selection. The location can be a little tricky while it is in the same plaza as Publix. It's on the other side, past Mulligan's. They do have a brunch menu, which I feel is perfect for when you want to avoid the crowds and overpriced food on Park Avenue in Winter Park, cause there are times you want to just seat on a porch with drinks and food peaceful.
First and foremost let’s talk about the tater tots at The Back Porch in Longwood. It’s a good thing they’ve got to go boxes because if not, I’d totally Napoleon Dynamite them. 🤪 They were the best tots I’ve ever had. The perfect amount of crispyness on the outside and soft potato on the inside. Get in my belly!
We stopped by mid afternoon cause we were on that side of town and it was apparent that they were the local spot for game watching. We were sat quickly and our server was friendly and helpful. The menu has a great variety ~ typical bar food so there was something for everyone. We enjoyed sliders, wings, club sandwich, chicken and waffle sandwich, and of course the tots. All delicious and even better with a beer in hand. We’ll definitely be back when we’re over that way!
Food was they typical fare for a sports bar. The server was attentive. We were there for brunch. Totally unimpressed. I love their wings. Though they are not part of the brunch menu, you can order them anytime.
Burger was good. Toast was dry. Service was good. Not a bad place for a quick bite. Need to season the burger a bit more and maybe do garlic Texas toast. Plus need option of 1000 island dressing.
Not what I was expecting. From reviews I was expecting so much more. Not much for atmosphere or personality. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp, which was the best thing we had there. They were cooked good, and came with good sauce. We also had the meatballs, 4 came in the order and had a funny taste.. we also tried the chicken wing, we ordered garlic parm, way over fried and dried out, the extra sauce that came with them was cold. I asked the server about this and apparently this is normal there. The margarita....well no, I make better at home. You never know till you try.. won't be back.
First off, our server (wearing a cast) was A+! However, Our after meal experience was one I couldn't believe; It was appalling and disappointing.
Our party consisted of five families, after a long day on the soft ball fields, as we frequently do, we patronize local small businesses for dinner, Saturday evening (11/11/2023) we decided on The Back Porch as many of our families have individually patronized The Back Porch in the past.
Around 10:15 pm we were asked to leave by a security guard, not the manager on duty. The reason, (our children were too loud). Mind you, no louder than the patrons at the bar and loud music being played in the restaurant.
According to the security guard, "two regulars left because of your kids." I could not find one sign that said no one under the age of 21 are allowed in the restaurant after a specific a time.
It was very unfortunate how the situation was handled.
After requesting to speak with the Manager a few times, he finally made an appearance and reiterated what the security guard had said to us. I also told him that our children were no louder than the music being played, he says, "we had to turn up the music because of the kids." At no time during our dinner were we asked if our children could be a little quieter.
Shameful.
Mr. V, imagine what it was like explaining to our children why we were kicked out. I sincerely hope this helps you make appropriate changes to your business so that other families do not have to experience what we did.
Best regards,
Lorenzo
Always a good meal and a good drink! We had the Manmosa along with the Steak and Grits and the Porch Slam. All of it was absolutely delicious and 2 drinks later... tipsy! Thank goodness for my DD. Highly recommend. Come enjoy the vibe.

We came to The Bayou for the first time for a late brunch / early dinner and, we were blown away by the food! So far, the best New Orleans food that we have had in Florida. The flavors were just delicious, the portions very satisfying, and the drinks

I love this little coffee shop! It is quaint and cozy. The staff is always friendly! The coffee is delicious and so are the pastries. If they have the herb cream cheese, I highly recommend it with the Asiago bagel!
My girlfriend found this restaurant online and suggested we try it and we're both glad we did. We talked with the owners for a little bit and they interacted with other guests as well. She ended up getting their chicken salad sandwich on gluten free
