What an incredibly poor experience. Don’t waste your time or money on this dump. Filthy, poor maintained properties, worn out amenities, no AC…
The two Indian owners were some of the nastiest, most rude people I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Totally unprofessional with no customer service skills.
Save your time and money, book elsewhere
The rooms are old, unclean and small. Bed was filled with bedbugs running around. When we complained about the bugs, receptionist Cresta asked us to vacate the room. They refused to acknowledge the issue in email and refused to give us refund. Avoid this hotel.
Almost didn’t book after reading some reviews. Yes, first room smelled. Second room was not clean, but was made up straight away. The place is under new, very responsive, attentive and anxious management. Room (and bathroom!) surprisingly nice. Location quiet and close to shops, restaurants. If the place gets an overhaul (carpets, pool) it will be awesome. Also stayed at the Elevation, but incomparable the two.
I booked on a Tuesday during a busy weekend, stayed for two nights. The staff were plesent, and the rooms were clean. No A/C in the rooms but I just went there to sleep so it was cool by the time I returned. It's situated a short 5 Minute walk to resteraunts and shops if you're into that kind of thing. I just ride my bike around and find somewhere to read. Overall good stay.
We arrived on 10th of October to check in .we paid through booking .com. for a week. The manager Krista and the husband Niel suggested to pay cash for next week.we did .few days later Niel called us and said we can't pay cash only credit card .we have no problem doing so.so on 17we went to pay the manager krista, said just pay cash .meanwhile she charged our credit card 3times 3different amount without our authorization.and wont take our cash and called the police and kept our cash deposit.they also complained about their housekeeper living free and not doing his job and offered us the job then changed their mind. Krista mentioned that her boss doesn't trust them.we was very embarrassed and humiliated by their behavior and service.
The owner sent us the receip the amount we paid is not the receipt.what we were told to pay.
We will never come back here.
No Air conditioning in the rooms! That's fine in winter time, but not when it's summer. Even the two fans they lent me couldn't help me sleep any better. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and fine, no bugs of any kind was noticed. Parking lot was tiny, no water in pool, jacuzzi buttoned up forever? Cleaning crew (husband and wife) were friendly, laundry guy gave extra bath towels without a hassle. Stayed one night for $120 and I would do it again during shoulder seasons, but not in summer.
Horrrible, filthy room and bed,NO A/C, Broken windows, basically you will be in the oven 🔥...stay away from this Trash 🗑
Very decent room. My only issue which was a very big one. Room #17 was the room we were given. Apparently its under the live in workers there because from 6am to 10am and showers beginning at 2am were how they felt we the paying customer should hear them constantly moving. Its an old hotel so you literally get to hear EVERY step they made. Also rattling pipes which also was wonderful to hear. Bottom line I would stay again but will not ever take room #17 again. I do not understand the lack of concern on vacationing guests.

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
