This hotel does its job, I guess. It's one of the cheapest hotels I've found in the Boston area. It's a good place to rest, the beds are comfortable, but you can hear people talking and walking outside sometimes. The design of the hotel is alright. You have to walk a long way through the halls to get to your hotel and there's only one elevator for the whole building. The breakfast is free, which is always welcomed. There is no view of the city from the hotel room.

Stayed a night at The Arcadian while visiting the city. Despite a slightly frosty welcome and a strange layout (an indoor motel, kinda, with room windows facing out into corridors and walkways overlooking lower floors), had a perfectly pleasant stay here. The room was mostly clean (save for some questionable hairs found on the towels), decently sized, and equipped with a fridge, cable TV and a perfectly functional bathroom. The location's great - Brookline is a delight to wander around - and has solid transit links back into the city. It's close to Cambridge, so it makes a good base to explore the Ivy Leagues nearby. The free buffet breakfast was several grades above the usual chain hotel food, and was well-stocked throughout the morning. Overall, a great option if you're looking to explore Boston.

This hotel is pretty good. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect. They do offer breakfast, but they let us know beforehand that it’s a continental breakfast, so there would be no hot food options, but they have recommendations on places nearby with more breakfast options. They had great coffee which was available throughout the day. The only cons were that the water pressure in the shower was pretty nonexistent and the AC can get pretty loud, but it’s nothing we couldn’t deal with. For the price it was great. I would stay again.

The negatives: - We got a room with a window facing the indoor hallway. the room smelled musty but we couldn't get any fresh air or sunlight because of the window - It appeared there was water damage on one of the walls - The hotel does not have any parking available. There is a very small parking lot attached to the hotel (but not owned by the hotel) that cost us $45 a night to use The positives: - Super clean and modern with great amenities in the room (nice toiletries, lots of coffee, a kettle, etc) - great location, 2 blocks away from a T station and lots of food options within 2 blocks - Continental breakfast had lots of options and was very delicious - Helpful and friendly staff Overall we would stay here again if we didn't have a rental car, and would be pickier about which room we wound up with

Such a cool hotel. We were only there for the night and weren’t really in the room much because we went to a concert but the rooms were very clean and the workers were very nice. Checking in was super easy because they have you enter in your information on their website beforehand so all I had to do was show them my ID and we were good to go. The lobby was awesome and very modern. Will definitely be going back

The first room I booked was too hot and the thermostat didn't work, front desk moved us to another room which had only one bed and a pull-out couch rather than two beds. Couldn't adjust the thermostat in that one either but at least it was colder. I left my watch on the bedside table of the first room, reported it in the morning and they said they couldn't find it. Obviously stolen by housekeeping. The staff are nice, facilities are fine but the shower gel smells like bug spray. Great location but you get your money's worth, I should've trusted the reviews.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a quick weekend trip. Staff was super nice. The structure and design was so beautiful and different. Our room was a bit far from the elevator but that’s okay. Our room was a bit too hot to our liking and couldn’t figure out how to keep it cool. The showers were a bit odd as it had a drain for a bath but wasn’t high or open wide enough. I’m short and just barely the water reached me because it could only go down so far. The products were okay. They didn’t smell great but wasn’t horrible. The toilet was very low. Coming out of knee surgery it was a bit tough. I also got car sick on the way there and when we arrived shortly after settling into the room, I threw up. We asked the front desk if we could have the cleaning crew come up to the room to disinfect the rug and take the dirty blanket and replace it. We went out for a couple of hours and came back to find that the blanket was still on the floor and all they did was give us an extra sheet and pillowcase. My boyfriend and I decided that it would be best not to have the cleaning crew come during the next day because we weren’t sure if they would even be aware of it and might accidentally put the dirty blanket on the clean bed. Breakfast was not anything crazy just some pastries and juice. We ended up going out to eat. The parking was a bit expensive, but it was convenient as it was very close to the hotel. The location was great because you could walk to many different places or the train or bus.

I recently stayed at the Arcadian with my wife and our son, and it was a great experience. The gentlemen at the front desk were very kind, inviting, and friendly. Our room was on the second floor, a nice room with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom with amazing water pressure in the shower. It was the first time that I had seen a hotel that provided ear plugs in the rooms. There is a fitness room located on the lower level. In the morning a continental breakfast is provided. The breakfast is a pleasant mix of pastries, fruits, cereal, yogurts, cold cuts, and coffee. The Arcadian is conveniently located in Brookline. There is a Green Line C stop directly outside the lobby doors. The area is gorgeous and clean, we enjoyed taking walks and visiting the local shops. There is a parking garage on site, though we used an off site garage as we weren't using the car to get around.

The Samuel Sewall Inn is open! I found my way to rent a room for a month. It has only been one day and I am totally in love with the owners, the property manager, the room and the installations. It's sort of an old mansion with much personality and b

The Turkish dumplings were delicious! The dumplings alone taste great. The sauce and the oil give the dumplings a tangy taste which brings the entree together. The customer service was welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!
