The Arboretum State Botanical Garden of Kentucky - Arboretum in Lexington - University of Kentucky, 500 Alumni Dr, USA

This arboretum is spacious with interesting varieties and pleasing walking trails and paths. Easy to find, ample Parking. The children’s storybook path is charming. A wonderful place to take the family out for fresh air and open spaces.

Very nice arboretum located on UK campus in Lexington. Long walking trails around the premises and paths to follow for most of the exhibits but there are some grassy paths to follow as well. Places to sit throughout with alcove after alcove of cool plants flowers and trees. Also a great tribute to victims of a plane crash and other statues throughout as well. Nicely done.

Came for a quiet conversation and enjoy the beautiful foliage. It's peaceful in the garden. You'll find a variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers. Wind your way along the paths to a variety of different preserved nature layouts that portray the various regions of KY. People are walking or running the trails. Some find rest in their hammocks that they bring for lounging. A wonderful opportunity for some fabulous photos! Whike others picnic, some are reading. Conversations are friendly. Children are laughing and exploring. People are happy in the beauty of God's outdoor garden in the midst of a bustling city.

Against my better judgment, I recently went on a Thanksgiving walk in the UK Arboretum. I say that because I am a NC duke basketball fan! Lolz iykyk Go Duke!💪🏽 Seriously though, even with most of the leaves gone, this place had such a subtle beauty to it. Without all the green, the deeper earth tones like, brown, charcoal, and black shown through. This was a peaceful place to walk as well. Even with other people on the trails! Sorry fellow Duke fans, but I am 💯 percent going to run at the arboretum once the weather gets warmer. For now it's treadmills all day! Haha I am not running in the cold!🥶 Lolz Maybe I'll see one of you there!🏃🏽‍♂️

Nice trees, gardens, and grounds to look at casually. It would have been much more interesting to me if the names of the trees and plants were marked more consistently. Learned a lot from the ones that were marked, but many/most of them were totally unmarked. Also, we unknowingly came on a day that UK was playing, so we had to park on the street on Bellefonte and the visitors center was closed.

This is my go-to spot for a jog! The grounds are impeccably maintained, and I noticed they've recently resurfaced the parking area. It also looks like they're working on expanding the parking, which is a smart move given its usual fullness. The jogging trail stretches around 3 miles, offering a serene escape into nature. This park ranks high on my list of favorites.

Very nice place. Nice paved trail that loops around a good mile at least, I think. And lovely trails with chip shavings/mulch through the grass, off the paved path. Other dirt (muddy when we went) trails leading off in the woods. Nice scenery of course and plants, but I still expected it to be a little prettier with more flowers or something, lol. Also, we went on a Monday and the place inside was closed.

Great place for a picnic, a day at the park with kids or quick stroll through landscaped gardens. Pet friendly and paved walking trail is perfect for walk with Fido 🐕
