Beautiful well-maintained arboretum. If you are into the outdoor gardens this place is definitely worth the visit. Lots of areas to sit and look at the scenery along with various carved out areas for you to do other actions like playing chimes. Also has a very nice indoor bathroom facility.
The Arboretum is an amazing part of the Penn State and Central PA community! A beautiful site for events, photos, or a leisurely visit all year long. There seasonal displays, with something new to see at each time. And Pumpkin Fest is October is a must!
The Arboretum never disappoints no matter what the season. If you visit State College take the time to visit, tour, read a book, have lunch. Coming soon is the new Palmer Museum - gorgeous building.
An incredibly well groomed, manicured and maintained arboretum, beautifully imagined and executed! Abundant thematic features with wide variety of distinctive plants - all well defined. The perfect place to unwind, relax while immersing in and communing with nature!
Great place to walk around and relax for a few hours! My girlfriend and I just laid in the grass for a few minutes and then walked around the gardens. Didn't have a chance to see the birdhouse and other cool things there, but we both agreed that we would most likely come back with some mushrooms.
