My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and we had a wonderful time! Our room was so cozy and romantic! The heart shaped jetted tub was super nice! The staff were very friendly and we loved the complimentary s’mores and breakfast! We will definitely stay here again!
This was our second time in Estes Park and first stay at the Appenzell Inn. We stayed 4 nights in the Meadow Suite which had 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, and living/dining area at a very competitive price. The kitchenette was well appointed with dishes and small appliances (hot plate, microwave, electric skillet, blender - no oven); with these and the on-site grills available we could save a lot of time and money preparing some of our own meals! Indoor pool and outdoor hot tub were clean and welcoming after days of hiking. Breakfast was ample continental, nice lobby area, and plenty of places for sitting around fire for the nightly complimentary s'mores! Laundry area worked great. Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms; attentive housekeeping, and so nice to be so close to RMNP entrances (maybe 10 minutes??) Only complaint was the beds were VERY firm...but the helpfulness and hospitality of the staff was absolutely top notch.
Loved this place. Room was clean and spacious. Great place to stay if going to Rocky Mountain National Park. Close by and plenty of restaurants nearby. Hot tub and pool was a great way to unwind after a day of hiking. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast is good, just your basic stuff. Very quiet rooms which was awesome!
I'm really happy we chose to stay at the Appenzell Inn - it was awesome, and very reasonably priced! The room wasn't huge and was a little outdated, but I don't think anything could've been better. The service was great, breakfast was good, there was a little playground to let the kids burn energy, and the pool and hot tub were well maintained. I'd recommend it to anybody.
Great hotel, you will have an amazing stay! Personnel really care about their guests. They make you feel really welcoming, and have small touches around the facility to make you experience even more enjoyable. Fire pits, pop corns, s’mores, hot tub, pool, and great knowledge about the Estes Park/Rocky mountain, helping make the most of your vacations. Keep the great work guys 👍🏻👍🏻
We’ve stayed here on and off over the last 20 years and have ALWAYS found the service top notch, the stay cozy and comfortable, and great amenities. I agree the hotel is a bit dated but it is ALWAYS clean and functional. We recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Estes!
Our stay was short and sweet. The suite was extremely spacious, and the jetted bath tub was amazing! The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about fun things to do and good places to eat around town. Hope to be back someday.
This place is a gem for affordable and quaint lodging in Estes Park.
We stayed in a cozy king room. The room was clean and had a great vibe. The gas fireplace and tub (though we didn’t use the tub) were nice. The room had satellite tv so plenty of options there for viewing and a dvd player with dvds available in the lobby if you have a longer stay and need entertainment.
The room was clean and well-stocked with towels and Bath and Body Works products.
I will say that we found the firmness of the bed to be very hard for our taste. I did read that mattress toppers are available upon request.
The indoor pool and outdoor hot tub were great. Hot tub was spacious, had a great temperature, clean, and cool lights.
We came a week before Christmas and the property was very nicely decorated with lights, a tree, and other decor.
The nightly fire with s’mores supplies was a great touch. Really gave us a camping type of feel and allowed us to fully enjoy this nature trip.
Breakfast is truly a light continental breakfast. Cereal, oatmeal, pre-packaged muffins. There is a waffle maker and my husband said they were excellent. The breakfast is not anything spectacular but gets the job done, particularly for shorter-term stays where you just want a little sustenance before you start your day. They have a water refill station which was great for us.
The Inn is conveniently located to downtown and the park. Quick drive to everything.
The staff were helpful when we checked in, providing us with a restaurant guide with coupons.
There are just a lot of really nice touches throughout that elevate this from being a cheap roadside motel.
Overall, really enjoyed our stay here.

A great experience all around especially the service. A five rating doesn't seem high enough especially Bridgette at the front desk. Our room with fireplace was a special treat. Breakfast was good also.

On an off-season stay a couple weeks ago, we were able to get one of the mountain-view double-king rooms and really enjoyed it. Hotel was very-well maintained and everything seemed like new. The hot-tub and pool were spotless. Breakfast was great.
You canât ask for a better location, barely a mile from our room to one of the visitor centers of The Rocky Mountain National Park. The room was super clean, jacuzzi, kitchen, linens, floors, bathroom, all were spotless. Bed was medium to soft, wor

Another of the beautiful overlooks of the Trail ridge rd. This one looks at the valley that is between the trail ridge rd and the fall river road to which the fall river flows from the receding glaciers of the RMNP. Has a slightly larger parking lot
Phenomenal view on a clear day. Quiet windy as should be expected, so protect your hats from flying away. Keep eyes open for mountain goats and elks. Last time we had a coyote jump in front of our car in pursuit of prey. The road up to this overlook
