We stumbled upon this gem and could not have been happier to find it. The day was hot and we popped into town for the car show. Exhausted from the sun’s rays we stopped into Apis for a quick respite. We ordered a few drinks - outstanding Bloody Mary w/chaser and a perfect Pinot noir. Service was impeccable and we greatly appreciated the attentiveness - we felt like the most important table in the beautiful bar room. After discussing the menu for way too long - everything sounded good, we ordered: Wedge salad, Summer Salad, and brunch lox sandwich. They were all delivered timely and could not have been plated any better. Simply beautiful. Every bite was slowly consumed to ensure the tastes were locked into our memories. The mint in the summer salad provided just the hint of coolness needed on a hot end-of-summer day. We cannot wait to go back. Spectacular. Beautiful tables and decor. We also all forgot to take pictures of our food as the urge to devour it was too powerful however we will not forget next time.

The atmosphere is fantastic! We enjoyed food inside, and our server was wonderful. Then we headed to the rooftop for a drink. Wonderful experience! Ash, our server, was awesome and very friendly! My husband ordered a drink called "In their hands" (or something like that)....basically, the bartender creates a surprise cocktail. Cassandra, the bartender, created a FANTASTIC gin, strawberry, basil deliciousness!! She even came over to us to see how he liked it. Well done Apis!

After our plans to go somewhere else for brunch fell through, we ended up at the Apis this morning. Service was excellent, prompt, and friendly. Food was delicious and well-portioned for the prices. Mimosa was more champagne than orange juice ;) Only downsides were the atmosphere (stark, white, and echo-y), though we greatly appreciated watching the Olympics on the tvs! Also, no changing tables available in the bathrooms, though a high chair was provided and the menu has a kids section.

We came here for dinner on Saturday 8/31 and everything was great! Came back on Sunday night and sat at the bar for some espresso martinis and decided to order some of the dark chocolate cookies. We waited for almost 30 minutes and nobody checked on us. Bartender clearly forgot about them as when I went to use the bathroom I saw them unwrapping the cookies in the kitchen. Why not be honest about a mixup or mistake….things happen. Instead, she said she was going to check on them. We were not comped for the cookies nor did we receive any apology. I work in customer service and this is the type of experience that makes you not want to come back to an establishment. Therefore, we will not return.

Ordered two New York strips with the wife and it had a chewy texture through out due to a bunch of silver skin. Ordered it cooked medium and it came out border line rare and hers was done medium. Very inconsistent with the quality. We also ordered smashed potatoes and asparagus. We got asparagus and broccoli. Very disappointed in the experience.

Stayed at The Apis for a short night away while on way to long weekend. Very pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Think small boutique hotel, only 6 rooms in an old downtown building. Building renovated in last 5 years or so and the room was fantastic. Highly recommend for a nice getaway.

First time at Apis. Our friends recommended the restaurant. First impressions are that it has a very cold sterile feel. We sat on the first floor. Primarily tables everywhere. No comfy booths. Wait staff was friendly. Food prices are very expensive. My wife got a small bowl of halibut for 47. Many dinners are above 60. Not too much food for the price. Never really been a fan of the tapas style. Definitely a restaurant that is for some and not for others. Gets quite loud when busy. Wasn't our cup of tea. Spent 130 for 2 people. No drinks, no dessert, no appetizers. Ouch.

Had brunch, some of the food was served cold, 45 minutes for food, other tables were served much more promptly. Food comes had no silverware or napkins..they obviously way understaffed. Manager was great,she apologized several times and gave us a discount..I'll be back as I understand being understaffed.
