An old privately run hotel that received a cosmetic makeover that benefits from clever photography that can best be described as ‘putting lipstick on a pig’. The rooms and public areas are shabby and noisy, especially as the hotel is literally on the side of the 101 Freeway. The beds soft with poor quality linen and bedding. The service wasn’t much better. We stood in front of the receptionist for 3-4 minutes without him even making eye contact. His welcome wasn’t much warmer. We asked for a quiet room. He gave us one that was located on the noisiest side! When we pointed this out he moved us….to a room next to the elevator! Having just flown from Europe we couldn’t be bothered to try and get some reasonable service, settled down for a fitful sleep and left at 5am to find a parking ticket had been placed on our windshield threatening to fine us….the receptionist didn’t ask us if we had a car and there was no mention of parking charges. We won’t be returning. As we do this journey often we’ll rely on the professional standards of branded hotels nearby such as The Hyatt Regency which costs about the same.

Nice hotel but we were there far too long. There is absolutely nothing to do in Calabasas. And if you want to make trips, you have to drive at least 30 minutes. The rooms of this hotel are very nice. However, the ceiling is very noisy. So be sure to bring earplugs to get a good night's sleep. the hang is also very lawwary. Furthermore, there is no daily cleaning, you have to ask for it. This also means clean towels and coffee cups. The nice thing is that they have it delivered by a robot. There is no safe in the room. Reception staff could have been a bit friendlier. Headhouskeeping finds it difficult to greet you. It all seems like too much to ask. Would we ever come back here, the answer is a clear no! Calabasas is quite quiet restaurants close on time. And you're quite bored.

The rooms and the hotel itself feel so elevated! It's definitely a boutique experience. The ground floor can get noisy with people walking above your room. For the most part, all concerns were dealt with very quickly. Wished the cafe was actually open during posted hours as it was one of our reasons for booking. But staff was remarkable, friendly, and always willing to help. A very nice hotel for our extended stay! Friendly wave from Canada!

We checked into the hotel in the evening. Our room was freezing. I turned on the heater and after an hour warm air was not working. I contacted reception and they sent someone to look at it. He said it was fixed. We left the room and returned a few hours later. The room was still cold and the heater was not working. I called front desk and told them we were checking out. They said a manger would call me on Monday. Never did. Aside from that, the room was not cleaned well. For example there was hair in the shower. The small shampoo bottle was half empty. There was someone’s eye lash extensions on the wooden floor. The chair had stains.

Magi and the staff are amazing. My daughter who attends Pepperdine University was going through a traumatic event in her life and my husband and I needed a place to stay while we comforted her during this difficult time. Magi and her staff accommodated us with ease. It was an immense help. Hotel is within walking distance to many breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots. Hotel was clean . Rooms were comfortable and decorated nicely. Will be our go to hotel when ever we are in the area.

The Room is very dusty. Wall Sconce Lamp burnt out and When I turned it on the entire unit spun off the wall and there is a Huge hole very unattractive. Floors and base boards dusty and dirty. Water damage ceiling with bad patch paint very disappointed. Shower pressure sucks. Windows don't open, bathroom was dusty and hair on the floor corners. REFRIGERATOR forget it! Microwave had crumbs. Also Crumbs and dust under TV Stand. For 4 days at almost 800.00! day one is already a disappointment. I have no choice but to stay due to time and work necessity but what is advertised is Not what is true. The sealant strip on Room entry door is missing so the hall light comes through and I can't sleep. At the head of both bed was dusty and tops of bedding the same. The shower head full of lime scale, disgusting, Thankful I always pack cleaning supplies because I had to basically clean the room to be Semi Comfortable, overall I will never come back here. I will definitely be informing my company and sister company's about this site and not to book ever. So upset and no well rest will happen here. I could list more but it's to much. I really want a huge discount for this terrible room or my money back, but of course now days Customer Service is not what it used to be and people do the minimum but what maximum results. Sad business practices.

My experience at this hotel was amazing! everything from the customer service, people, amenities, and rooms were beyond my expectations. I cannot wait to visit California again and book with this hotel. Only thing i will say that needs fixing is limited parking but other than that great hotel.

Uncooperative staff with no concept of customer service. Loud house keeping staff yelling and shouting to each other in the hallways while guests are sleeping. Freeway right next to the hotel. Pro; relatively inexpensive for the area. I would go to another one next time.
