The Angry Warthog Saloon - Restaurant in Cooper City - 5109 SW 90th Ave, USA

A nice little bar. It is a favorite spot for the locals from around here. After visiting it I can see why. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. I had a good time coming here. The bar was easy to find. It has good enough parking all around. The parking lot is well-lit. The bar is near a school and a small little park. I had no problem finding it. The food was good. The food menu had good choices. The service was a little slow. I found the place fun. And the crowd friendly. They also have a karaoke night. I recommend checking the place out.

Unless you read about this place somewhere, it would be difficult to find it: it’s located on a small road in the heart of a residential area. We stopped here one for a late dinner on a weekday. The place was almost empty, but I wonder how the situation is with parking during the weekend: the lot is not very big. It has a dive-ish atmosphere, a big bar, a few tables and also a billiard table. It is supposed to offer South African specialties but I haven’t seen too many ethnical dishes on the menu that day: I think this is more of a traditional American restaurant bar anyways. The food however was really good: I wasn’t even hungry when I ordered the (huge) jalapeno poppers, but I liked them so much that I wanted to try something else too (we don’t live close by, and I don’t know when we’ll have an opportunity again to stop here) – the quesadillas were very good as well. They have a good variety of beers and prices are very decent as well. The service was ok.

Amazing food, cooked fresh to order, one chef he’s fabulous!! Come in for Taco Tuesday you will not be disappointed! Live music on Saturdays And Karoke on Thursday nights!! A must try for a cold beer and great 🍷 wine!!

Finally a local joint with great selection of beer. IPA craft beer on draft and bottle. Live music is a plus. And down to earth prices! This feels like a commercial but really awesome place! Did I mention the food? Wow!

We stopped here one night looking for some quick food and a beer after a trip down to Miami. TAW is in a residential area, kind of isolated, next door to a liquor store. Some people told me before I went there that it’s a bit of a rough place, shady in the evening. So, let me clear this first: obviously we all have a personal idea of “shady” or “rough”, but come here relax. Yes, at late hours there are some characters around mostly going to the liquor store, but zero problem whatsoever. It’s a dive bar for sure, but that means it is just not pretentious, customers are real people and not “wannabees” and the atmosphere is relaxed, nothing sketchy about it. Food is better than expected in a dive bar; it tastes fresh and you can tell that they care about it. Service was all we need, I mean they are not going to be asking you every 2 minutes if you need something, but also they don’t charge you 10 bucks per beer. Again, it’s a relaxing place, good beer, pretty good food and friendly service without overdoing it (and normally if you walk into a dive bar you don’t need “overdoing”). Too bad the place is a bit far for us, but if we are in the area again, which we will as we often travel south of PB County, I’ll stop again as this place has everything right about it.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! We went on 1/14/24. Weirdest/worst restaurant experience ever. The waitress seemed surprised to see us at 12:15 on a Saturday. They open at 11:30. Sat us with no menus then walked away. We were the only people there. She was behind the bar. We went online and looked at the menu. After a few moments I said “Miss can we orders some drinks and apps” across the restaurant. She comes over and we order three Coke zeros a water and an app. Two coke series came in a can and one came in a small glass lol. We’re pretty sure the glass was Diet Coke. Why different service for the same drink we don’t know. At this point we’re laughing at how weird it was. We ordered wings after being told the other app we ordered wasn’t available (she brought over a printed menu to show us what they didn’t have… tho being told the menus were online and not offering us any printed menus earlier). After thirty minutes the wings come out. Not bad actually but she places them down with no celery, carrots or dressing, napkins , silverware or side plates . I had to ask for all of them three times. She gives us a bunch of cocktail napkins bc she says she doesn’t know where the regular napkins are and three side plates for the 4 of us. She says they only have spicy ranch (no ranch or blue cheese) bc “whoever closed last night didn’t do it right”. No refill on the drinks despite asking multiple times. Again , we’re the only people there. A guy yells out that the food is ready after another half an hour. It’s so bland we had to add a ton of salt and pepper to taste anything. She brings water for us with no ice. We pay and leave. We’re just laughing at it all but it was so insane. Idk how this place operates. We were joking that her and the cook broke in and robbed the place and the actual employees were tied up in the back, but we walked in unexpectedly and the decided to try to serve us . Do not go here

It's a nice little neighborhood pub with good South African food and charming service. Tried the Boerwors flat bread and scotch eggs and both were very good! Lots of TVs so a good place to hangout weeknights or weekends!

Awesome Neighborhood bar. My Pit stop before going home at the end of the day!Good beer selection and plenty of food options. I usually order their chicken Philly and quesadillas. Their Biltong is tender and flavorful too. I’ve seen you can add it to any of their sandwiches or flatbreads. My wife and I love coming here.
