The Angry Donut and Cafe - Donut shop in Newburyport - 42 Inn St, USA

We’ve been wanting to come here for quite a while. We unfortunately arrived a couple minutes after closing but were kindly let in. All the donuts we got were INCREDIBLE (even for at the end of the day). The sweetness level was perfect — not overpoweringly sweet like most places. I’ve tried local donut places all over New England and I can confidently say that these are the best I’ve ever had. My favorite was the strawberry frosted — the glaze tasted like ACTUAL strawberries. The maple bacon was such a fun flavor too! The hospitality of this place was phenomenal. I’m looking forward to coming again!!!

Great donuts!! I especially love the flavor and texture of the chocolate glazed. Definitely worth a special trip to Newburyport.

Nice café in downtown newburyport. Came here for breakfast and donuts. Donuts were ok, but nothing worth coming back for. Breakfast sandwiches were amazing though - their egg sandwich was definitely worth it. Good selection of coffee dishes as well. Overall, nice place and hope to come back again soon.

I want to like this place so badly but I just think their donuts are average 😩especially compared to some of the donut shops in Boston. They are very sweet and the unique flavors don’t really shine through. Last time I got the churro and the staff member put it upside down into the bag so all the chocolate rubbed off. I feel bad about not liking the donuts here but if one donut is gonna be $5 it’s gotta be amazing.

Hands down the best breakfast sandwich in Newburyport. Staff is amazing. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick donut and coffee or to sit and relax on the patio while enjoying lunch or breakfast.

Delicious coffee and GF options. Owner is friendly, and I enjoyed an in-depth conversation about coffee. Great local business. I will be back to try a breakfast sandwich next time I'm downtown 😊

The Angry Donut is a fun little cafe that offers your typical cafe drinks, salads, sandwiches, and yes… donuts. Normally I would be all about the donuts, but it was lunch time, I needed something healthier, and I opted for the BLAT sandwich. Stands for bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato. It was an amazingly fine crafted sandwich that tasted amazing. While waiting for our food, I looked around the cafe. You enter to a counter where you order your food, the cafe selections are off to the left above the counter, breakfast sandwich offerings where on the counter to the left, and the lunch options were on a chalkboard to the right of the counter. (Probably my only beef with the place is that the menus were split up.) There was a small, but nice dining area to the right of the cafe, and there was outdoor seating. We took advantage of the outdoor seating and enjoyed a nice day in the courtyard that the shop is located. The staff was cool and handled our large-ish order with care and accuracy. Next time I come back, I will try the donuts.
