Everything was fine. Its within a walk to the boardwalk and beach. Housekeeping always made sure you had what you need. During peak season, expect to pay. Room was pretty ghetto. It leaked from the roof on our last day and we were told just put a bucket. We were charged $45 misc fee. Was told its for muffins and coffee. However when booking was told complimentary breakfast. After reading multiple reviews, i think we were charged for parking, we came by train and was picked up by a relative. Never parked. Stop and shop muffin tray with Folgers coffee seem a bit taxing for $45 a room. Overall no complaints besides the shady business and hidden fees. Fine its $45. Ill probably stay at the pelican nextdoor next season. We never had problems there.

We had reserved 2 rooms for 6 people, we got upgraded to their 3 bed 2 bath house at no extra cost. That was very nice of them. Location is great. Condition/ decor is what you would expect, same as the other older motels in this area. Place was clean. Very satisfied. No complaints.

Other than a good location for a quick walk to the boardwalk/beach I wasn't expecting much for $166 on a Tuesday. Its definitely an old motel with a nice pool and good music playing outside. I felt safe and it was quiet. Room was small and very basic. Not the freshest feeling when inside. Felt damp and the stained carpet nees to go. My feet felt grimey sticky and dirty when I forgot to put my flip flops on to go to the bathroom. Time for a hardwood floor upgrade so it can be cleaned better would be my suggestion. Bed was comfortable enough but again it felt damp in the room. Bathroom looked like some semi recent upgrades were made and was halfway decent. Small refrigerator was not cold enough even after we turned it colder. Had trouble with the old doorknob and key opening the door and getting the key back out. Found close street parking since they charge $18 per night to park on their own property...would consider it again if they have and gave me a better room maybe.

Paid $918 for 3 days.. then on top of that an extra $200 because they make you pay to use their wifi, pool, breakfast etc. I didn’t use their wifi once and still had to pay for it, didn’t use the pool once and still had to pay for it, their breakfast was coffee, water, and a tray of bread.. I seriously had to pay for it even though I ate none of it and didn’t even bother to grab anything because it was just garbage for what I paid. I forgot to say they also make you pay to use their parking lot.. they let beach goers also pay to use the parking lot so if you stay at the hotel, paid your spot, leave to grab something to eat and come back there’s a good chance you paid to lose your spot. The towels were stained, my fridge leaked water onto the carpeted floor so I had a wet floor the entirety of the trip. The bed skirt has spiral pins in it.. my foot found one on the ground as I went to get into bed. Just what you want on your stay.. something sharp lodged in your foot. I also found a black bug on my bed that I still cannot identify. This was the absolute worst trip I’ve ever had because of this motel. Save your money please and find something else. These people know how to rob you. I’m convinced they pay people to write them good reviews.

We stayed Sunday through Tuesday. I got a call from the hotel Sunday afternoon, saying that if we were ok with changing rooms, we could check in early, which was nice and we took advantage of that. The room and the bathroom were clean. The pool and patio were very clean as well. The walkways on the second floor were a little concerning; there were rubber mats thrown down, which made it easy to trip over, especially after the heavy rain we had one night. My only real issue is the $66 "Misc." fee I saw on my bill after checking in. When I asked what that was, I was told it was for parking, breakfast and a third charge which I didn't catch. I did not receive any communication from the hotel or the booking website before-hand that this amount would be charged. I did go back and look at the website I used when I booked the room, and had to go to a link that said "Travelers are asking" in order to see a blurb about the parking fee; however, I feel like this information should be more prominent on the website. I found nothing about a charge for the continental breakfast, which consisted of coffee and a tray of muffins that had been cut into quarters. If I had seen these charges when looking for a place to stay, I may have kept looking, which is probably why they aren't prominently displayed on the hotel website. So the hotel was fine, just be sure you know about all additional charges ahead of time.

Make sure you ask for the full price of the room. I was told one price on the phone then after staying I was charged $80 more. They have all these ridiculous fees for coffee and parking. I certainly didn't enjoy any of that. When I just called the lady said I could have opted out of the breakfast option and parking. Well how would I know that if I didn't know I was paying for it in the first place. Now I am out $80 because the people I was with already paid me for the price I gave them. The staff definitely did not care when I called to inquire about it, they just want there money. They must get this all the time because they are deceiving people on the daily... What a shame. And the rooms are not the best.. wear sandals in the shower they are old and beat up tubs.

I’m giving it 2 stars because of the location. It is very close to the boardwalk, train station and stores down Arnold Ave. Other than that, the motel is very outdated and dirty. The dressers were half broken, there was mold next to the tiny fridge, the vent for the kitchen stove was disgusting. Mind you, the fridge was so tiny it could not fit anything! The beds are very squeaky and the worst was on our last day, it was pouring rain and the ceiling start leaking! We had to put a bucket underneath from getting the bed soaked. Terrible motel I ever stayed at and will definitely not come back.
