Not worth the time or trouble! The rooms are not well kept and so aren’t the VERY few beach chairs they provide or the pool. Rips in the dirty beach chair cushions and algae covered pool steps. House keeping is not offered unless you stay a certain amount of days (not that the room looked like they came prior to my stay). The “Complimentary Breakfast” consists of low quality mini bagels and cereal. After being unhappy with the first room I was given, I decided to switch and stay in my mom’s room since there was a spare bed due to the “upgrade” they were given (Note: I made the switch only after staying in the room for 5 minutes MAX). I informed the front desk that I wanted to cancel the room I was not staying in and they said this was okay but that we would still be charged for the night even if we didn’t stay in it. After disputing that I was told that they would to speak to their manager about the cancellation to not be charged. Within an hour of staying in my mom’s room, the air conditioners and televisions kept shutting off due to the fuse going out. After having a repair guy come to fix the issue, not even 10 minutes later it happened again, and again and again. The bedroom and bathrooms not to mention had many ants and the drains were clogged. After our fourth time fixing the fuse we were moved to another room that was a bit better and more of what we were expecting, it is a shame though that it took so many inconveniences to obtain it. The view was nice and everything in the room worked. After finishing our two night stay we tried to confirm that we would only be charged for the one room that we stayed in for those two nights but they tried to charge us for both rooms. So not worth the hassle!! Find another place to stay because this isn’t going to give you that relaxation you’re looking for.

What an amazing place to stay we had the 2 bedroom suite and everything was clean front desk and staff were on top of clean towels. If I had one request was that the restaurant be open for breakfast lunch and dinner. We went with Sunday and Monday having to cross the bridge for something to eat. But we did have a fully equipped kitchen I was being on vacation mode so not the hotels nor the restaurants fault. I definitely will be staying there again the beach and pool absolutely clean. I never seen such blue water and white sand and the access to and from the hotel was seconds.

This was the most wonderful hotel experience. The staff was so very friendly upon arrival throughout our stay. Lindy was extremely personable. We received a mid-week booking special of a bottle of wine and Margherita pizza in their restaurant, The Ambassador Grill, which was also fantastic! We were given 10% off at the restaurant as well. The 2 room suite overlooked the ocean and intercoastal waterway. Just steps to the beach. Complimentary cabana chairs on the beach were supplied. The suite was so very spacious and clean. There are so many closets and a full kitchen. The large balcony gave us beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. The Ambassador Grill has live entertainment on Saturday nights. Happy hour as well from like 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. I think. The breakfast staff is off the charts and accommodating. It is a simple continental breakfast but displayed nicely and very clean. We loved enjoying coffee and breakfast every morning and not have to go anywhere else. The hotel is nicely located and you can get to downtown WPB easily and quickly and also Jupiter as well. The historic Breakers Hotel is a short drive and a must see. It is stunning! The only issue we had is that the cleaning staff did not clean our room for a 5 day stay. We requested towels and etc each day which we were accommodated thinking any day that it wold be cleaned. I suppose we needed to request the room to be cleaned, just not sure. I highly recommend this hotel for a family as it has plenty of room and a full kitchen and steps to the beach. This is not a stuffy hotel. It has vintage charm and is a very lovely place to enjoy some time off. Thank you to the wonderful and friendly staff! You made our trip even better!

My husband and I stayed for four days at the Ambassador and could not have been happier. Our room was upgraded upon arrival. All areas of the hotel including our room were very clean and the front desk people were very pleasant. The Grill had happy hour every day we were there starting at 4pm and they were very attentive and accommodating. They went as far as buying more Zero beers from the store for my husband who doesn’t drink! The drinks were delightfully strong and the food was amazing! Our favorite dishes were the chicken curry, twin tail lobsters and the seared tuna (my personal favorite). My one and only complain was the lack of towels in the pool and beach areas but not a huge deal! Will definitely be coming back!

If you are stuck between good and bad reviews of this hotel. Do yourself a favor and let this be the last one you look at. Upon arrival the room was upgraded which seemed like a good thing. However there were many issues like the shower overflowing and the fuse going out in the room every ten minutes. The shower heads and the curtains have mildew on them which clearly shows how poorly the bathroom is cleaned. Now I won’t lie the rooms on the main building are pretty and have a nice view but you have to ask yourself is it worth your money and time. I know every room can be different so I’m going to quickly mention what’s disappointing about the hotel in general. When going to the beach from the hotel there are a couple lounge chairs and their “beach cabana” if that’s what they want to call it. They are very far away from the shoreline which takes away from the nice view of the water. The pool area is pretty however the pool isn’t the cleanest. They also have stone stairs in the pool that has algae growing on them. There are very few people by the pool and barely anyone at the beach. These areas made me feel very isolated which to me is unsettling and took away the feel of a summer vacation. In addition, the hallways on the upper levels have a gross smell and the complementary breakfast in the morning isn’t terrible, food is food but if you are coming with a strong appetite i wouldn’t recommend it. I tried to make this review as nice and simple as possible. Like i mentioned before the rooms and views are pretty however all the other things I have mentioned doesn’t make it worth the money or the stay. I hope they make big changes to the hotel or lower there pricing for what is given. Hope this review helps anyone out there deciding on were they want to stay.

The Ambassador hotel is a very nice and quiet hotel on the beach. Compared to other resorts in the area, the beach is fairly secluded. Lake Worth pier is two minutes away with nice restaurants and ambiance. The hotel is a bit no frills, but the rooms are like condos, complete with kitchen utensils. We had three small children with us, so the hotel setup was perfect for us. The staff is friendly and helpful. Isabella is very sweet and does a great job managing the breakfast area. This is our fifth time visiting the property, and it always serves well as a nice, quiet family getaway.

My daughter and I had a great experience at the Ambassador! We were celebrating her 16th birthday and she said it was the best vacation she ever had! We loved our spacious and clean suite overlooking the pool! We spent time at the beach and took some really nice photos that’s she’ll cherish forever. We are at the Grille and had an absolutely lovely dinner watching the sunset. The front desk was very accommodating when we arrived as my daughter was ill and we needed an early check in. Would stay again!

I absolutely love this hotel. Very quiet and relaxing and so affordable, which is my husband and I booked for 10 days in April after spending 3 days the prior September. ||I love that the staff is very attentive to your needs and nothing more and these are very clean rooms. ||During our second day, we were spending time out on the balcony playing games and the manager came in going through all of the kitchen saying someone had complained. I cannot imagine any complaints. Per the staff, the complaints were that there were no wall hangings; this confused me much because there are four windows that give views of the ocean on one side and the bay on the other side. What more could you ask for to look at!!! I was definitely confused by this. ||I have already made reservations for next March as we are going to semi-retire and looking to make a decision on a full stay from Jan - Mar of each year. ||I would highly recommend this hotel. It has everything you need. The pool was also very quiet and enjoyable as well as the morning continental breakfast, which came in handy the days i didn't make a full breakfast. ||If you are looking for affordable beach front hotel.....DON'T WAIT, book now!!! You will not regret it~||Lisa J.

Hands down, this is the best breakfast sandwich in South Florida. And at $10, it's an incredibly reasonable price for such a luxurious location. The coffee drinks are also amazing. They must be using some high end beans.
