The Altair Bay Harbor Hotel - Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands - 9540 W Bay Harbor Dr, USA

We were originally booked at a different hotel, but that hotel was dirty. We ended up finding Altair and glad we did. Our room was clean and it was nice to have a balcony. Anything you needed was brought up fairly quickly. We are not part of the Jewish community, but that did not matter. Staff were very friendly, especially the front desk, cleaning and pool staff. We enjoyed the Kosher breakfast. The hotel is in a quieter area, but close to everything. We would stay here again.

A most wonderful experience. Been back already twice and have enjoyed both times. Rooms are neat , clean and modern. Staff is very accommodating. Great pool, excellent restaurant and everything one would expect from a luxurious hotel except the price. Highly recommended

Room was clean, though sometimes the staff forgot to provide some essentials. The breakfast buffet was great. However, there were times when they ran out of some items. Also, the breakfast room was a bit small for such a large crowd. They might want to expand the dining room so that it can handle the crowds. The pool was lovely and large. Sometimes the water was warm and other times cold. Same with hot tub. It wasn't always that hot.

Positive: What I liked most about this hotel was the location and that the room had a balcony. They allow pets and that is great. Negative: There were certain things that I didn't like; The room did not have 100% privacy from the balcony because it only had transparent curtains that could see everything from the surrounding buildings to the inside of the room.

I chose this hotel due to its kosher breakfast and beautiful rooms and it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful clean and well air conditioned. The pool is even nicer than the pictures. We used the scooters available at the front desk and had a delicious breakfast every morning. The staff were polite and accommodating. I want to thank Daniela at the front desk, magic mike at the front desk, the bellman Harry who went above and beyond and Nora for always holding the door and keeping the glass clean. The strawberry pineapple smoothie at the pool and cappuccinos in the morning were delicious. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The view is spectacular. Of course there is always room for improvement- I would suggest having a 24 hour coffee and tea station in the lobby, a large clock at the pool as well as an AED machine and backboard. There was always water bottles available which was great in the miami heat. I would love a pool to be open 24/7 and not close at 11 pm. The synogogue did not always have a minyan so there is theshul.org. Sun tan lotion available at the pool was nice. Kosher food option for shabbos was nice but came out to much higher than expected. Beach access with shuttle service every hour. Farmers market with kosher sour dough pizza and fresh coconut water Sundays 9-3 pm at Collins and 96th. 24 hour Cvs nearby. Kosher restaurants down Harding ave. Overall a great place to relax and recharge for a few days. When u get the shabbos key make sure they turn ur door on shabbos mode so the light doesn’t go on. First come first serve for the shabbos meals so come early to get a table inside. Shabbos Kiddush in the Shul with Berel Golomb who ran the shabbos minyanim beautifully and got everyone a chair and made them feel welcome. Chazzan and speaker came for shabbos mevorchim was a real treat. Malky doing water aquatics 9 am on Sunday and Thursday was amazing and felt awesome to have a workout on vacation. Don’t rent a car they charge for parking at the hotel and everywhere you go… Uber and Lyft are really cheap. Thank you for everything. Looking forward to next time:)

I had the best vacation ever in that hotel! The food, the staff, the rooms and the amenities were all nothing short of amazing. I cannot wait for my next vacation which I surely will stay in this hotel again.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Our hotel room was spacious, bathroom was a good size and I loved the shower. Housekeeping was awesome. My sister and I was surprised when we came from lunch the following day and saw that your room was clean and every single piece of jewelry and other valuable belongings was placed nicely on the bed. The shelter service for the beach was awesome. The receptionist were all great and very helpful. Harris is amazing, he's funny, kind and very helpful. Our overall experience was great, thanks guys for your amazing service.

They are the best! They pay attention to every detail! Clean, fluffy towels, soft linens, fragrant toiletries, delicious food in the restaurant, pleasant and helpful employees. Scenic location. Beautiful rooftop pool with bar.
