Service wasn't great. We showed up at noon for brunch and the waitress kept trying to push alcohol on us. She also kept pushing sparkling water on us after we said no twice and asked for normal water. she brought bottleded which cost $20! she wasn't knowledgeable about the menu either. She told us the incorrect info about serving sizes, and the cut of chicken in the chicken and waffles. Now about the food quality. It was bad. Both orange juices we got were watery and tasteless, both chicken and waffles came with dry chicken, and the hash browns (pictured) came out black. On the plus side the avocado toast was good, and the breakfast sandwich was okay.
Food was great, service was excellent, music was diverse but fantastic. Sophia greeted us with a smile, and took our order tonight. She was always there when we needed her and was overall very pleasant. All around though, the staff was really nice, the wait to place our order was fast, but not too fast, water was always available, an extra table was provided when we needed it, and above all, we didn’t feel rushed, despite coming so late. Unfortunately we came 8 minutes before the kitchen closed so we didn’t have much time to digest the menu, however what we did decide on was fantastic. I only wish we came sooner, but we will be back again!
I had heard about this legendary Mac & cheese burger so NATURALLY I had to see what is was about and it did NOT disappoint! So many other great items including the bacon egg & cheese dumplings and the penne vodka ! The margarita flight was also fun & delicious and the watermelon sangria ! The vibes are spot on here too !
Stopped in for a quick bite and a couple drinks. Went around 3, it was fairly quiet for the time. Took a little while for a waitress to initially come over. Got the Sangria flight and the tropical flight. Decent drinks, prompt service afterwards. Tried the nachos and wings. Typical nachos, everything on top, nothing under the first layer other than plain chips. Buffalo wings were good, could have used a touch more sauce. Had a couple cold draft beers and the cheesecake, which was very good.
What we tried: - ULTIMATE PINEAPPLE: Served in a pineapple, white rum, pineapple juice, mango, passion juice, Coco Lopez only served FRIDAY-SUNDAY - Buffalo Cauliflower - Fried Calamari - Classic Bacon Cheese Burger Best thing hands down was the Ultimate Pineapple drink. I thought it would just be a light fruity fun drink but it gave quite the punch. They don’t hold back on this drink. You won’t regret trying this one. Overall the food was decent. The calamari was very bland as if they forgot to salt it. And the buffalo cauliflower was super salty in comparison. Burgers were great though. Atmosphere was great as well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.
The size of this chicken and waffles is a joke. Two tiny pieces not even the size of my palm lol. I mentioned this and they told me they couldn’t help me. Why did I waste my money🤣super thin and overcooked
The girls and I got together to get brunch here. When I arrived I was lucky to find parking in front. I walked in and the nice hostess was able to get us seats in the main area after we waited a bit. The DJ was blazing. Tony was our server and he was great. I ordered the fish tacos without pinapple and it looked naked lol. But Tony got me pico and it was better. The girls got their food and they said it was ok. The bill wasn't too bad and I really enjoyed my time.
I'm so happy we decided to host our corporate team dinner at The Ainsworth. I must have changed the number of guests a half a dozen times and then when we got there, the group was very social and wanted to move around the table to have different conversations and the manager and staff helped us to move to a private area in where they set up tables special for us so we could have more space. With 16 folks total, the staff didn't miss a beat with delivering recommendations for food and treated everyone with the highest level of customer experience. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend The Ainsworth! Outside of that, the location and views of the city skyline were breathtaking! Thank you for a great evening and event!
Amazing brunch spot, with the best service! Our waitress really made sure that we had a good time, as we were a group of old and new friends getting together! Will definitely be going back when we're in Hoboken again!
