The Addison On Amelia Island - Featured Reviews (149)
We stayed for 3 nights at The Addison. When we arrived to check in we met Ron the owner who was so nice we knew the decision to stay here was a good one. The room was a good size with a very comfortable king size bed with a walk-in shower. We met Lisa later in the afternoon and we talked about places to see and things to do. The mornings start with great tasting coffee with a 2 course breakfast that changes daily. In the afternoon we met some other guests on the covered porch and discussed the best restaurants and daily trips. Great group of friendly people. We will absolutely be returning to The Addison when we return to Amelia Island.
Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed on the Atlantic side of Florida. The inn itself is very inviting, with beautiful decor throughout. The bed was very comfortable, as were all of the furnishings in the room. The inn keepers are very kind and want to insure your stay is enjoyable, and made recommendations of where to go and what to see. The breakfasts were delicious and more than what I could, but hubby was able to devour all of his! And lots of shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Upon our return home, friends asked us how it was and would we go again. We gave them a resounding yes!
This property is fantastic! The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, the grounds are well maintained and very appealing. The owners, Lisa and Ron are wonderful, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. They were very attentive to any need you may have had and were a genuinely nice couple. The breakfasts that they prepared were amazing and happy hour was provided every afternoon. We were so very glad we chose this property for our stay and will be back!
My husband and I stayed here for a night before journeying to Cumberland Island. The Addison is a beautiful small hotel just steps from the historic downtown. Ron and Lisa are the owners, and they make you feel like old friends. Ron greeted us upon check-in and showed us everything available at the hotel. There’s a great library with numerous books about the area. There’s also a lovely porch overlooking the garden where wine is served every afternoon. It was wonderful to sit on the porch and relax after a long day of travel. It was so lovely we decided to eat breakfast there the next morning. Ron told us about the various restaurants in town and where to park when taking the ferry to the island. He also had suggestions about what to do on Cumberland Island. ||Our room was nice sized with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The shower had great water pressure and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious. You can’t go wrong booking here. The hotel is an absolute gem.
Inn is in a lovely residential area and within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the marina. There are only 2 guest parking spots but street parking in front of the inn is readily available. The inn is in excellent condition, very clean, and has modern amenities. There are a number of nice, covered seating areas on the porches where guests can relax. Innkeepers are welcoming, very present and gracious. They are readily available to answer questions and provide recommendations for the area. Just an FYI that there are no safes or mini-refrigerators in the rooms. However, there is a small shared refrigerator in the main building which contains an assortment of free sodas for guests available 24/7 and guests can put their small food items/leftovers in it. No water bottles are provided but there is a filtered water dispenser on property for reusable bottles. We are not fans of using reusable bottles on vacation as there is no way to really sanitize them thoroughly. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and had good temperature control. We did not notice any mustiness anywhere at the inn which is a plus given the Florida humidity. Linens were nice and pristine and the shower had excellent water pressure. Daily housekeeping of towels and trash are not automatically provided but is available upon request. We appreciated that there is a daily social hour with free wine, beer, soda. However, no food is provided so our recommendation would be for the inn to provide a small snack or some hor'dourves (even if just cheese and crackers or nuts) so we are not drinking on an empty stomach. We felt a snack would have enhanced the social hour experience and have experienced that at other luxury inns we have stayed at. In the morning we liked that coffee was available early and it was very good. Breakfasts are freshly prepared and on the healthy side. While the breakfasts were presented well and tasted good, one minor disappointment for us was that there were no baked goods available throughout our stay. Usually inns have either cookies, muffins, coffeecakes, or sweet breads, etc. as their signature items but the breakfast items here were generally savory (except for some fresh fruit). There is a different entree served each day with no other options offered. I don't know if guests would be able to get, for example, something like eggs, toast, or yogurt if they did not like that day's menu. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Addison. The location couldn't have been better. It's right in the heart of everything, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in the historic district. Plus, it's just a short bike ride away from the beach and state park. Lisa and Ron were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Overall, our stay at The Addison was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amelia Island. Thanks for a memorable getaway. We can't wait to come back!
The perfect inn in the perfect location. Ron and Lisa were most welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty. Congenial fellow guests made for pleasant and convivial happy hour on the porch.|We have stayed at The Addison twice and would never seek a better spot for a visit to Amelia Island. How wonderful to stay in a beautifully furnished and appointed inn in a quiet neighborhoods yet with so many excellent restaurant choices within a few minutes’ walk.
Eileen and I stayed at The Addison January 8-January 17 and had a wonderful time there. Ron and Lisa are terrific hosts who are very accommodating. Eileen had some mobility issues at the time of our visit and Ron and Lisa went out of their way to be helpful. Lisa even prepared a list of recommended places to visit when we moved on to South Carolina.||We highly recommend The Addison to anyone planning to visit Amelia Island.

Even though Iâve been a life long resident of Florida and live less than two hours away, Iâve never been to Fernandina Beach. So when I planned a long weekend away for me and my mom for her birthday, the first place I thought of that wouldnât b
We've been following Betty for years! So I think that in itself says we're pretty impressed! Personally what is most valuable to me is that Betty will meet you where you're at. She believes in you and encourages you. When you feel like you can't

So beautiful & peaceful! Plenty of parking, very clean! The boardwalk is the nicest one Iâve ever seen. Well lit. We loved exploring around all of the tide pools. Lots of sea life: giant horseshoe crab, many different species of fish, lots of birds
Great little park with unique equipment and a sandbox with shovels and dump trucks. Has rubberized padding around equipment and is fenced in. Bathrooms close by. Definitely worth the trip.
