The 409 Bolivar Beach Hotel - Motel in Crystal Beach - 1020 TX-87, USA

The hotel is clean, comfortable. The man that works in the office (owner) was very nice. Our problem wasn't the hotel at all, it was the guests next to us, they partied all night to the wee hours of the morning. One girl was even screaming and laughing so loud, it was impossible to sleep, so we didn't at all. Miserable night! The room is nice, but the shower curtain was molded and yellow. The ac worked well, but was loud. The quality of the hotel was good over all for a one/two night stay. Just don't stay the night when Houston Jeepers Club are there, they are the crew that kept us and our neighbors up all night. We asked them to please keep it down as did the other guests and they got louder well into 1-2 am, it would have not been a bad stay, if not for them. Walls are thin. Room 28 was out of control to the point we almost called the cops out.

We rented 3 rooms for our stay because of the amount of people we had. The rooms were very well maintained, clean and spacious. Our stay was amazing. The area was very peaceful at night. And the gentleman that was in the office (I believe the owner) was extremely nice. Our entire group loved our stay and definitely want to stay here again soon. The vibe was PERFECT.

Great customer service with friendly staff. Was staying overnight to take parents to Galveston port for Carnival Cruise. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and great location with nearby beach access. Great price and value. Only issue we had was no hot water (only lukewarm water) in the shower after we got back from dinner but could be from other guests using up the hot water before we got back. Will come back again and would highly recommend.

Have you ever walked into a room and felt it's ora? Then let's talk about the hidden gem that is the 409. It's the perfect marriage of high tech with the simplicity of a jazzy vibe of the rat pack era. But you know you're still on the beach. With a digital keyless entry, you walk in to a wall mounted HD Samsung television (LED) room with comfortable linens and plush pillows that matches the room. You don't know how much you appreciate that until you've been there. The room is already at a temperature perfect for relaxation. At the vanity, the lighting is perfectly even around the mirror for that classic Hollywood glow instead of the unappealing florescent light. The shower is powerful and they even took the time to put non- slip, beach themed pads at the bottom. They truly went all out with the industrial sized laundry machines you only see in actual laundry establishments. Don't waste your time or money on any place else. Because most importantly, they have the Southern Hospitality that is Crystal Beach.

The people at check in were friendly enough. The room was nice, except for the tub. It looked like someone dropped something in it and broke it. Didn't notice it until the next morning when I went to shower.

We took a last minute trip to Crystal Beach. It was late January and found this place and gave them a try. Long story short. Do not go by any any reviews before this January. The new owner took over January the 1st 2024. It was the best Service I have had in a long time. The Owner helped us get our bags to the lift and met us at the top to get stuff to our room. He was there with a truck load of lumber working on fixing things. That night he saw us come in around 10:30 and came out and ran the lift, it was greatly appreciated because we have a dog in a wheelchair. The price was amazing and it was very pet friendly. If your looking for a 4 star hotel, stay of Crystal Beach and try Galveston. The beach is a few blocks from here some could walk it. Our Room was clean, the water was hot, the air worked, and there were no bugs. If you want a place to cleanup, rest comfortably , and safe after the beach and nightlife give them a try.

Stayed at the 409 hotel and it is entirely new all the rooms are updated top to bottom very clean and the led light up mirrors are amazing the new owner is doing a great job bring new life to the area he is very friendly and helpful.

Was in Bolivar and seen only ONE place to stay and I wasn't having it. We decided to go search ONE more time in Bolivar before having no choice but to go back to that one and then I seen Saltwater Inn. It was nothing fancy but it was clean and we slept like babies. Owner was super nice and I want to say that we were the only ones there but to be fair they had just re-opened up as the new owners. Looking for a place without going over to Galveston Island.. this is the one! Like I said.. nothing fancy but it had everything you needed and we felt right at home! It is a must! Very convenient and maybe a block from beach! Thank you Saltwater Inn for the kind hospitality! We will be back!
