Room was tiny and hot water was very slow but bed was comfortable for two smallish people. Spaces available to relax outside the room. Lots of coffee and other supplies. Toilet didn’t work too well. Breakfast was generous but very sugary. Staff extremely helpful. Safe place to leave our bicycles. Internet worked. In the heart of town but not noisy.
Beautiful historic building. Do not expect impeccability, it's challenging and expensive to maintain such a Grand and old hotel. But the extremely friendly staff, great location and unique vintage rooms make up for the age of the construction. Excellent value for the price. It was for us a wonderful romantic escape to another epoch. We really loved it. Well, two US Presidents stayed at the hotel... Says a lot...
We loved everything about our stay! Our room was number 15 with ocean view from the balcony. Everything we needed was in the room, the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the location was perfect! Staff very friendly and parking on site.
This hotel has a rich history and little else. It should have been torn down about 80 years ago! Our room was small and cluttered. Too much furniture for the size of the room. The sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom because they are trying to fit too much in a small space. The bathroom door would not shut. The cold water faucet in the shower would not turn on. There was no working vent in the bathroom so you were instructed to keep the bathroom door shut so steam would not set off the fire alarm!! There is no restaurant or bar. After using one night of our two night reservation, we checked out. We were told that we would have to talk with Expedia about a refund. However, we were not told about their non-refundable policy. So the money I spent on our second un-used night was lost. If you like quaint, you might like this hotel. If you like comfort and modern amenities, go elsewhere. But make certain you only book the time you need. Next time I'm in Littleton, I will find better accomodations!!
Beautiful architecture and a charming Inn. It has a very long and interesting history! If you’re looking to stay in an authentic historical Inn this is it. They have struck a great balance with preserving the historical property and still offering modern touches here and there where it counts. Loved wandering around and finding interesting little sitting areas, ancient door hardware and charming porches. You cannot get better than the location right in downtown and walk to all your meals and nice shops on both the main area and backside mill shops. Nice covered bridge and park along the river right out back and they offer free parking just for guests. Staff was friendly and the Inn was nice and quiet; I got great sleep. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Whenever I come to town for my outdoor fun I will stay here. I could feel the history from the decor, creaky wooden floors and antique furniture. It’s a special place for those that enjoy historical properties; you’ll love it.
Thayer Inn is a beautiful place in the heart of the White Mountains. It is clean and cozy. The staff are wonderful. Harry, part of the housekeeping, saw us climbing the stairs and immediately offered to help us with our bags. Meagan and Aimee are just super people. They are at the front desk. They are so willing to help in anyway from places to eat and sights to see. They go above and beyond to make your stay a good one. It was a pleasure meeting them.
Fantastic stay. Historic hotel, qitrh comfortable beds and top notch AC. Our room qas actually two rooms with a small bathroom in between. It was really nice for the kids to have their own room. Far less complaining about my snoring this morning!
Great location for walking along river to dinner. In the center of Littleton and surrounded by nice shops. The woman who checked us in on Monday was delightful. It was a work trip with my sick 5 year old in tow and he was enchanted by the place. Floors wildly uneven. lots of stairs and charm! We had a family suite which was perfect for 3 of us. wifi was great. it was unseasonably warm (83) and we forgot that a historic hotel probably doesn’t have ac. the bedrooms had strong fans and operable windows so we got to enjoy the sounds of the river while we fell asleep. Simple continental breakfast. We just had coffee there but the kid was thrilled to be allowed fruit loops.
Honestly, the most beautiful antique store that I have been to. The owner has a brilliant eye, and it is loaded with exquisite MCM stuff. Wish that my house was big enough to accommodate everything. The prices are very fair. They obviously know
Walked here from our Airbnb and found the atmosphere to be one of the best we have experienced. Latte was also one of the best we have had on the east coast. We asked for dine in and got paper cups. Disappointed we didnât get real coffee cups. Almo
The food was delicious with amazing homemade whole wheat toast. But I really wish I could give the Service 10 out of 5 stars, because it was the best I've had in a LONG time (if ever). Owner, Jean McKenna, greets you at the door with a smile and is p
What a treat. Small, quaint dining room in historic building on Main Street. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was delicious and the chef delivered a number of the courses personally. Service was great.
We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Even though they are short staffed, we were greeted and quickly seated! Our orders were taken and the food came out quickly. If you love toast... get the homemade bread! I got a summertime special with ve
