Stopped here for lunch with my daughter. Drunken noodles and the panang curry had the right flavors. Satay and peanut sauce hit the mark as appetizers. Also ordered mango sticky rice for dessert. Rice was actually chewy, as you'd see in Thailand and other Asian countries. Worth the drive.

Great service, good food. My family and I had an enjoyable meal at the Thai '99 restaurant while Christmas shopping. This was one of my kids first experiences at a Thai restaurant where they ordered something more than chicken satays or basic appetizers to munch. I love Drunken Noodles and they tasted just fine but the heat wasn't there and I asked for hot...might need to risk it and go for Thai hot next time. My wife order either the Crispy Duck or the Thai '99 Duck...whichever one it was, it was awesome. Super tasty and crispy with a wonderful sauce. My daughter went for some basic Egg Noodles, which suited her just fine. My son went for the Shrimp Mango but was disappointed but it really is his misunderstanding of to expect...he loves shrimp and mango but did not understand how it would get mixed together in a dish. I tasted it and it was just fine but definitely a bit on the sweeter side and I prefer the heat. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice.

The restaurant is pretty inside and has a very nice atmosphere. Although I was getting carryout, the service was absolutely absolutely excellent. They have an entire area dedicated to carryout which has utensils, sauces, and almost anything you can think of for that carryout, lol. The person who handles carryout greets you and asks you what sauces and utensils you need. As for the food, the taste was average and a bit bland - standard stuff. Not really the flavourful tastes that we're used to from other Thai restaurants. Also, the standard round containers that our food was in were not completely full like we are used to from other Thai restaurants. I tried to show that in the pictures; we hadn't eaten any of the food yet; bowls were on filled to what you see in the pictures. The fresh spring rolls were definitely fresh but you must rely on sauce for flavor because there's no seasoning in any of the ingredients, not even tge chicken that's used (would be great if they could marinate the meat in something first). There's a 50/50 chance as to whether we'll go back because: a) there are other options for Thai that we haven't tried yet; b) we know of other Thai restaurants that we do like better than this one; and c) when convenience is key and we don't want to drive further for Thai from somewhere else, we'd probably get food from here again.

Thai 99 II is tucked away in a small strip mall off 29. There was only one other table taken at 5:30 on a Thursday evening in March. They did appear to have quite a few takeout orders. The interior is no frills with plain tables and chairs and a few wall decorations. Service was perfunctory. There was one guy seating, taking orders, delivering food and clearing tables. As we were leaving, another lady came out and started helping with checks and dirty dishes. At this point, it was 6:30 and four tables were taken. We ordered drinks first. The glass of Frei Brothers merlot was a decent size and tasted fine. The Tanqueray and tonic consisted mostly of tonic so I can’t recommend this. When the Jasmine rice is the highlight of the meal, something is amiss. The panang curry pork sauce had an overly peanut butter-y taste. I typically order panang curry and have never had the nut be so prominent. The fairly tough pork came with zucchini and peppers. While the shrimp mango had a nice presentation, it was disappointing. The plate came with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and broccoli that had a bit of a crunch. The sauce was more on the side or underneath, not on top. The shrimp were awful. They either had a very fishy taste or a distinct watery, flavorless taste, and we could not finish them. All in all, not a good experience for us. We will have to give this restaurant a pass.

Starters: Spring rolls (Veg) is fresh but a little bit lack of diversification(lettuce and carrots). Fried tofu is actually not in starters menu, it’s under vegetarian part. It’s so good with the chili sauce (need to ask for it). Green curry is a little diluted but the flavor is good and not too salty. The portion is not as big as other Thai food restaurant. The rice with it is a little bit sticky. Drunken noodles is good. The portion is as same as others.

Food was good but service was excruciatingly slow. Pick-ups seemed to have priority over those of us at the tables. I'll order take out the next time I'm craving yellow l curry.

This is a great restaurant. The service was prompt (our water glasses never fell below half-full), the Thai iced tea was delicious and the food was even better! I ordered the Pad Grapao which was delicious with garlic and basil and chicken. I loved that the rice came in the shape of a heart! And the prices were good too. I also got the shrimp spring rolls which were amazing with the peanut butter sauce but forgot to take pics of them.

I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Thai '99! The chicken in peanut sauce was excellent. The fried calamari is done tempura style, which I really enjoyed. I'll definitely be back again.

Amazing traditional Thai food. The wait staff was extremely accommodating as we had our 4 kids aged 15 to 7 years old. The food came out very fast, was wonderfully displayed and the flavor was incredible. Mango curry is definitely the dish to try! I

We order from this place once a week. The pad see ew, pad woon sen with shrimp, and sweet and sour with fried tofu are all amazing. Yesterday, they were closed so we briefly considered ordering Thai from somewhere else but decided to wait until love2
