Texas Roadhouse - Steak house in Matthews - 10400 E Independence Blvd, USA

Howdy yall! This location does an insane amount of business. If you're planning on going for dinner, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: head over to Yelp and register your party on the waitlist, Yelp is the only way to get yourself on it so you're not hanging outside the restaurant waiting for an hour or more. We do this all the time and it's always worth it. I gave food and Atmosphere 5☆ because it's always good and consistent! I mean, who else besides us gobble down 15 rolls slathered in Cinnamon butter? The energy in the place is loud and fun and if you want to watch sports be sure to request a table in the bar area as it's your best option to see the TVs. Service I gave a 4☆. Every server we've ever had has always been super friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our only issue, which has happened the last 2 times we've been there, is we get greeted promptly, but our drinks and appetizers tend to take longer than it should(sometimes up to 12 minutes for drinks to come) so be prepared on Thursday-Sunday night to have your patience hat on. We've also experienced a lag time in servers checking on our refills and waiting extended periods for our check- I'll chalk that up to the crazy amount of volume the restaurant does and possibly being short staffed at times. This is my only knock on the place, which we're used to, so if you're in a rush to eat and leave this definitely isn't the place for you!

When I walked in, there was a 15-20 minute wait which is reasonable for a Friday night. The atmosphere was different than any other restaurant and the food was great. Service was fast and efficient. Will be coming back.

Abi was incredible! Texas roadhouse was good, too - but if we come back again - that's to see her again. She was a sweetest to be around, for sure. We eat out a lot, but I can honestly say she is a top 1% of all servers we ever dealt with. Abi is adorable ❤️

Always amazing!!! Steak or chicken fried chicken is my preference. The Bread is top notch! I usually fill up on the bottomless Bread! Got to love the peanuts as well but I will say I loved being able to throw the shells on the floor. Unfortunately they did away with that part.

While Texas roadhouse is a national chain, this particular location did a great job of creating a very comfortable atmosphere for me and my other guest. The bartenders went out of their way to have a meaningful conversation and that was a nice touch.

Very busy when we stopped in. Comprehensive menu and great foods .Though I am not a steak person .My wife's steak was done right and my beef tips with mashed was well buttered ( the potato ) but absolutely delicious .

Steak 🥩 always been my favorite. And I love it in here. My steak always comes how I like it and the mashed potatoes 🥔 always good. Everytime I think about steak I go there. The servers/ waiters always good service and helps as much as they could. The only reason why 4stars is because the last two times I went there. My server got my order wrong and she got pissed when I asked her to fix it. But I dont blame her, the place was busy and crowded and she was confused with another table. You should try the T-bone steak.

I haven’t been to Texas Roadhouse in years. I decided to go this past Sunday after church while out of town. It was super busy. It was fully staffed. Everyone was friendly & we didn’t have a long wait at all. We had a friendly server that checked on us & the food was soooo yummy! I am a vegan & I usually don’t have many places that I can enjoy tbh. I was able to enjoy what I ordered & everyone else loved their food. I went back Monday & today in my city. Lol so it’s safe to say I love Texas Roadhouse!
