Terry Day Park ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the things I love about living in Boise is how much green space we have. The number of parks that we have never ceases to amaze me. Each one has their own distinct personality. These photos were taken on 6/2/23, when I stumbled upon this park while out running an errand. It’s one I had always meant to visit, but hadn’t.. I wasn’t able to go all the way back into the park because it was getting close to closing time. Enjoy!
This is a medium-sized playground that seems well-maintained, but its biggest unique feature is a zipline with a seat that every kid seems to LOVE. It has swings, shaded picnic tables, slides and other typically playground equipment, tennis courts, restrooms, and large grassy areas. The only negative to this playground is that it sits relatively close to the very busy Federal Way, but as long as you keep an eye on them, it's not a problem. It's still relatively quiet.
Fun park, equipment is dark so a bit hot for the summer. Picnic tables were great. We passed through on a trip and needed a park to eat in and let the 4 kids stretch their legs. Also needed potty. Well maintained park. Bathrooms were acceptable even for the girls the in our group.
It’s a small park with a big heart. Whenever I see a kid on that jungle gym / zip line, I wish I was a kid again so I could go on a ride and enjoy it as much as them. The pond has a nice variety of birds, but good luck catching a good pic of that heron (always takes off on ya!). I like to bring a burrito over from Adelita’s to munch while I give the stink eye to dogs waking past. There’s a few squirrels here that enjoy snacky’s, but they are bit more leery of humans than my regulars down by the river.
This is a nice, simple park for families. The zip-line makes it a family favorite. The play equipment is modest, but entertaining. They have tennis courts, a small field and a scenic walk around a pond. They have picnic tables to sit in the shade and a sheltered picnic area for birthday parties. They have single-person bathrooms and water fountains. The park is a little more difficult to get to from Federal Way in the sense that you have to make sure you are aware of what street you came from when turning onto Federal Way so you know whether to take a right or left onto Federal Way in order to find the park. For example, if you take Kootenai Street to get there, then you would need to turn RIGHT onto Federal Way to get to the park on the Right-hand side of Federal Way. If you take Overland Road to get there, then you will need to turn LEFT onto Federal Way to get to the park on the LEFT-hand side of Federal Way.
It's a very nice area overall: a cool playground with lots of climbing action and unique equipment. (Note: it is geared toward 5-12yo.) The tennis courts look maintained, as well. (Fall leaves being blown off during our visit.) There's also some nice lawn areas and a winding sidewalk (connects with neighborhood, I'm assuming?). My kid did hone in on multiple pieces of dog poop, so I think the dog walkers need to do better. Not sure if bathrooms were open but the water fountain wasn't on.
Very nice park lots of shade for when it's hot and open space for running around as well. Lots lots of nice benches and places to relax and watch the fowl around the lake.
Well maintained park, clean with a paved walking trail. The small pond is a great touch!
A well maintained 41acre park on side of Boise river in Boise city having well paved wide pathways, ponds, fountain. Park as well as parking both are wheel chair accessible. You can watch wildlife also. Dog are allowed. Clean public toilets. Gardens
The trail systems at and around Camel's Back Park are top-notch! LOVE this area so much. Boiseans are very fortunate to have these maintained trails available to them for walking, hiking, running, and mountain biking. The park itself is a lovely pi
I did not realize there were four entrances to different parts of Lucky peak. And there may be more I don't know. But I got to do the polar Bear plunge and it was awesome
This is a really nice park. It is large enough to accommodate 2 large play slide areas, a large swing area- with both adult and baby swings, a large tennis area, and plenty of wide open grass areas to play with your dog! The park was very clean, n
All of Boiseâs best events are held here. ðPlenty of shade, great views of the streets for cycling and other events, excellent photo ops in front of the State Capitol, close to downtown amenities and parking.
Nice little neighborhood park. Tennis court, hoops, and play ground equipment. We go there for our son's soccer practice and there's plenty of space for multiple teams to practice at once.
I love our little neighborhood park. It's a great size for small toddlers to where I always have line of sight but still enough equipment for them to not get bored. Mature trees with shaded grass areas, picnic benches, and a clean restroom. Plus ther
Great food and very friendly staff. We came with our dog and they accommodated us very well out on the patio and brought him his own water bowl too. The food we had was all great. It's neat to have a place so close where we can get to try handmade au
We planned to stop in Boise on our drive from Seattle to Salt Lake City. We loved the Boise Guesthouse so much we returned a week later on our way home. On our first visit, we stayed in the Animal Studio, and on our second we stayed in the Travel Su
My compliments to the chef. This food was so fresh and delicious. The taste was perfectly balanced and pleasing to all the senses. It was light, rich and flavorful. Iâm very particular about the quality of my food and I donât have a single compla
Beautiful park area - I don't care for the narration boxes that much but the quotes on the walls are very moving. Lovely water features and very calming. It's right on the green belt, so it gets a lot of traffic.
Seriously the best empanadas! The crust is so buttery and yummy and the fillings are flavorful. I need to try more flavors, but recently I tried the Gaucho and the cheeseburger. Both were great, gaucho was my favorite!
After a very long flight to Boise from Florida this place was a refreshing landing spot and the perfect place to introduce us to the Boise craft beer scene. Boise is such a clean city and this place site on such a huge corner lot where it was bright
Must try! Everything was delicious. I honestly don't remember the names of the dishes, but I included photos. Definitely try the fried chicken with curry! Adorable place too!
Is this one of the pricier bars in Boise? 100% But does that keep you from enjoying an AWESOME array of cocktails to please any pallette? No way. Really nice spot for an intimate drink after dinner
Great speak easy in down town Boise. Donât be afraid to go through the curtains. Whatâs on the other side is a bar that feels like cheers, everyone knows your name m, unless itâs your first time. If itâs around Christmas make sure you get the
