Terranea Beach - Beach in Rancho Palos Verdes - , USA

A spectacular well-hidden spot that’s open to the public not just the resort. For those who may not know, this spot is entirely open to the public. We initially went there and saw lots of cars entering the resort with valet parking up to $25 per day and parking lots for guests only. It’s very confusing, maybe cause the resort doesn’t want hundreds of people crowding their space. But if you park on the street before you hit the valet entrance, parking is completely free. And there’s a side walk trail that avoids the golf course and goes straight to this point. About a 5-10 minute walk, but the plants trees and views are so incredible you won’t even realize it. Once there, there’s a place to rent kayaks, practice archery, or simply lounge around. Several wooden chairs are organized by the park managers for anyone to use. There’s also a rocky area. Our favorite though is this short little hill you climb to get amazing views of the ocean from the cliff. Seriously - check this place out. You won’t be disappointment. Just a small thing to be aware of in case you’re interested: you cannot directly see the sunset from this area; it faces a different direction.

Awesome location close to resort - great activities like archery and kayaking too!

Beautiful place with a beautiful scenery. The place is immaculate and a great place to wind down after a long day at school or work. Even the wild animals seem to be happy here. It’s also very clean and well maintained. But don’t come here if you want to ruin it. Stay away if you’re going to litter and trash the place. Oh and also try coming during the weekends as it seems to be less busy as opposed to the weekdays.

Pretty little spot just a short walk down from the main resort on the Terranea property. Nice spot to see dolphins and seals sitting in chairs shaded by umbrellas. Starting Location for the sea kayaking activity of the Terranea Resort. Sandy around the chairs, rocky along the water’s edge. Really enjoyed walking down this cove to watch the sunrise just before breakfast at Catalina Kitchen.

Pretty gorgeous trails with breathtaking views. Love going for evening walks, watching sunset, and hearing the ocean waves crashing on the pebbles

This beach area is super cool. It's got an amazing rustic vibe to it that feels a bit like adventuring but also allows you to relax and unwind. It's 100% worth checking out.

I did the kayaking tour here. It was an amazing experience. Tour guide James was excellent. Very helpful and easy going. The whole thing was easy and low pressure which is good if you're nervous to go on the ocean like me. Plus James knew a ton about the wildlife and the history of the area. The highlight was seeing a large pod of dolphins.

Hidden gem tucked away near the Terranea resort. This place is open to the public but is very quiet and serene. Come for a hike or to listen to the sounds of the waves. It's a picturesque coastline created a postcard-perfect setting. 10/10 recommend.
