Alot of history here. Wish they would add more Pictures. And Stories.
The Japanese Fishermans Memorial, located on Terminal Island,Los Angeles,California,is a scenic portside memorial dedicated to The Japanese fishing village and the community that lived and worked there and made it their "furasato"-or "Home Sweet Home".These were the first Japanese families forcibly relocated after the bombing of Pearl Harbor,Hawaii.A few years later these same Japanese individuals and families were given $25.00 and a bus ticket back to furasato only to find their village had been bulldozed and leveled to nothing.

An important historical site and worth a visit even if it’s a little out of the way. Hard to imagine this site once had a thriving community at one time
Nice little memorial tucked away at the end of Terminal Island. The prison guards are a little if Leary of people hanging around so be forewarned.
Wished this memorial was better taken care of, still should be visited to pay respects to people that were done wrong..
Very touching tribute to the hard working Japanese that were displaced, lost their land, homes, and personal possessions, due to wartime paranoia.....
Tucked away in the harbor. Be sure to drive around. You will see a few of the old building just up from this site. Stop and have lunch at the old diner with Espy.
Stark memorial to the people and village that was unjustly punished and disappeared.

There are so many pizza places around. But Sorrento's stand out as one with no frills, clean, courteous staff and most of all good ol' pizza taste. I never care for marinara sauce. But the marinara that comes with the calamari tastes the best of eq
Small free aquarium with a variety of small to medium fish and sea creatures. Great value given that it's free, though donations are encouraged. The fish and such are fun to look out but don't expect an in depth scientific explanation of their behavi
Animal style burger is the best. The sauce and onions put it over the top especially at that price point. Fries would be better animal style instead of plain.
