Tequila's Mexican Bar & Grill - Bar & grill in East Peoria - 370 West Washington Street, USA

Clean place with friendly staff! Food was better than the average place, but still not quite there, and food came out quick. I had the shrimp enchiladas and an 1800 margarita but I wasn't asked which flavor so I'm guessing it was the house mix. Ambience was slightly above par but nothing unique or unexpected. I will definitely eat here again.

Pros: warm chips and good salsa to start, a kind younger waitress who was patient towards our large group, and the food came out hot. Cons: the kids meals are lacking quality, chimichanga was hardly fried (flour tortilla still soft over 85% of it), chicken dry in one of the burritos, and although the waitress was very kind, we didn't have proactive drink refills. We would eat here again and with some attention to detail on their end, this could be a great place to eat. Entrees were around $13-15 which is reasonable. Soft drinks were $3.07.

I was here for a work lunch. No drinking. The food was on the low end of acceptable. Chips stale, food bland. The service was great, and if I had enough tequila, I would have been fine with the food. Great place to go to get some mostly inoffensive Mexican food with your alcohol. I would not come here for great food. Once again, they had great customer service. I would be tempted to come with friends for tequila, beer, and perhaps a shared plate of nachos.

Parking was a bit of a hassle, very busy and you can't see well when parked in front of the restaurant. The food was good, prepared quickly and correctly. Not served very well however. Drinks were misplaced as were dishes that we ordered. The server only knew a few words of English so it was very difficult to get across what the problem was. Overall not a bad experience just not a very good one. 4 stars in each category is being generous.

Food was very tasty are table was clean all servers were working to keep everyone happy the food was out to us in under 20 mins

Restaurant is very dirty and food has gone downhill. Service is terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a table for two when another couple came in, went to the podium and were seated right away. When my husband questioned why that couple was seated before us the employee was very rude and said because they were a table for two. My husband told him we were also but he began arguing with us stating that we were down as a table of three. He continued to argue when my husband tried to explain that the girl had wrote it down wrong then. He was so rude and argumentative my husband asked to speak to a manager and the employee said he IS the manager. We decided to leave and told him we wouldn't be back. As we were leaving this employee actually followed us out the door telling us to go ahead! I've never experienced anything like this in a Restaurant. As a fellow business owner I couldn't imagine treating customers this way. We have been dissatisfied with the food and cleanliness the last couple times we were there but this visit assured we will never go back and we have been sure to let our friends, family and customers know about this experience.

The salsa was good but the food was sub par. I wouldn't go back. For Mexican which there is no shortage of places this would be pretty low on my list. My chicken was hard and dry. We ordered and got our food in less than 5 minutes 100% sure the food was pre cooked and sitting in a warm well or just reheated

Food is amazing and the staff is great! Their new dip Carne Con Queso is absolutely amazing! Only down side is the bench seats are pretty worn down and not very comfortable.
