The food was good, but price to portion ratio just wasn't there. The restaurant was extremely hot, no ice in our water glasses and never got the second drink we ordered. The chips and salsa is "pay for a refill" and since they give u the tiniest bowl of course u ask for a refill.... but u didn't know it was a "pay for refill of chips and salsa" until u get the bill. It is hidden as a side on the menu we found later. The restaurant had a bunch of plants full of gnats and spiders that indruded on our experience.
Enjoyed the tequila flights and the food very much. My whole party (5 of us) all had good things to say above the food and drinks. Would recommend for sure
My friend is a big fan of this restaurant and wanted to take a group of us to try it.The tacos were very well seasoned and it left us wanting more. I guess I wished there was another tortilla under or more filling. The churros were very enjoyable, although the chocolate was more like a syrup rather than a thicker consistency. Finally, I personally enjoyed my drink a lot (the catrina), my friends mentioned wanting something stronger. I'd love to come again!

Recently stumbled upon Tequila & Mezcal and will forever call this place my go-to for Mexican. Love the beer ‘n’bump and the hibiscus/classic margs on their happy hour menu. Definitely try the birria trio platter and the beef tongue… the most tender and tasteful meat you’ll ever have! And you know it’s the best when mama is cooking right next to the bar 👏🏼💕
Good food, great service, prices are a little higher than other places in the area, but you're paying for a higher quality meal. The mood lighting could be better, the overhead lights make it feel a bit like a doctor's office. Besides that, great restaurant!
Had such a great experience. Food was good and very ascetically plated as were drinks. Server was friendly and attentive. Had an issue with one of my tacos and not only did they rectify the situation, they overcompensated to make up for it. I will be back. Dog friendly.
I love this place! You know you’re in the right place when it’s packed on a Sunday and the owners are working hard! Our bartender Marco was magnificent! The drinks were original and absolutely amazing! The food? We travel the world and this is by far the best food and ambiance to just relax and love DC! Don’t walk here…run!
