Tempest is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee and peaceful moments of relaxation Iced salt caramel latte was great on the patio!

Cute little coffee place on the river. Great walking trail along the river and to a park. I got a B.L.A.T, which was mouth watering good. Green tea was yummy with honey. Great place to chill.

Great coffee shop with beautiful views. It was busy but service was quick. The breakfast sandwiches are great, along with the smoothies and tea. Grab your drink and take a stroll along the river

Amazing place. Lovely ambience with a serene riverside view. Upon reaching the actual location it seemed like its a whole new world we are in. Even the drive leading to the coffee house was one of a kind i have never seen in Appleton. The food was good with a good number of vegetarian options, although a lot more should be added as far the flavors and texture of the dish is concerned. Prices were affordable. Coffee was pretty amazing for its presentation. I went with my husband and would love to visit this place more often during summer times

Great place to get excellent coffee, food and a nice view. It’s a bit confusing trying to locate it for the first time, but once you’re sipping on their coffee, you’ll find that it’s worth it. Yes - it’s facing the water and located below and within the apartment complex. I ordered my usual go to - iced caramel latte. I knew going in that their sister company is Lawless, so I already had high expectations that were quickly lived up. They did a great job and the flavor was as I had hoped for. I also ordered the Green Shakshuka. I’m a huge tomatillo fan so when I say this, I mean this in the best way possible… it was really good, but it needed more of a base substance. I’ve reached the age where I need to carry tums on me for my heartburn for most meals. I ended up eating the egg, the pita bread and some of the tomatillo, but had to take the leftovers home to place it on top of some rice for dinner. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals as well. The service was friendly and I look forward to trying more items on their menu.

I used to have a review for Tempest that was from over a year ago with 5 stars. Today I was very disappointed with the service. While I understand what it is like to be short staffed/to be busy as a barista, I feel things could've been handled more professionally today. I was already waiting for 25 minutes for one coffee beverage when a lady asked the barista for her drink because even though she had paid way after me, she was impatient. They bumped her to the front of the line and everyone else was waiting far longer for their beverages. If the wait is a long wait, let the customers know before they go through with their order so they're at least aware you're short staffed and it may be quite awhile for the beverage. I love Tempest and I did not mind waiting so much, because I understand, but it wasn't fair to let everyone else wait longer because someone was incredibly impatient.

I loved the atmosphere at Tempest. It has a lot of windows making it bright and inviting. It is comfortable with different types of seating from a couch, to tables and chairs, to high top seating at the counter. I had the Sap Sugar Latte. It had a unique flavor that i enjoyed.

One of my favorite spots but was recently told by a barista there that they don't do pour-over coffee on the weekend. Seems strange that a specialty coffee shop that has pour over coffee on its menu wouldn't serve one of its signature and most basic drinks, especially since there was nobody in line ahead of nor behind me.
