I love art museums! This one was in such a lovely setting. I was unfamiliar with the artists but felt like the collection was beautifully selected for the many expressions of the people depicted. It was a good balance of landscape and people. I loved the 15 year old boy dressed as a sheik. His expression was all teenager! The two wall length pictures of the cycle of life were amazing as well. Very enjoyable and just enough to hold my interest for the hour we were there.
Good public art museum. This museum first opened to the public in 1886, creating the foundation for art and cultural education. There presents a celebrated collection of fine art, decorative art and other paintings. If you like art, then this is a very good place to visit.
Beautiful building, with some nice paintings and plaster casts of famous classical sculpture.
The statute from Bonaventure cemetery is probably the biggest draw, of course.
Great time for the little one. She is almost 2 and I thought she wouldn’t be able to interact much, but she really enjoyed the 2nd floor. Didn’t want to stop drawing.
The architecture of the building is really cool to see and the art was an added bonus. I really liked the self guided audio tour that was available. It made it so that we could do the ribs at our own pace and stay longer/shorter when wanted. Pretty decent deal to get all the if the museums for the price.
I wish there was more. We like historic houses and thought it would be similar to Owen's house since that's what we were told. There's 2 period rooms only 1 was accessible the dining room. The rest was art collections. The bird girl was a huge attraction for me.
Beautiful museum, stunning rotunda you have to see in person to behold, many interesting pieces, helpful free audio tour- bring headphones! Noise canceling headphones were perfect, it was a little more crowded than usual because it was a free admission day, but I still got to enjoy everything. There are stairs at main entrance and walkways, but they have elevators and a separate wheelchair accessible entrance available FYI. Admission to this includes two other really worthwhile buildings nearby. Street parking is ample, use the Savannah Parking app to pay for parking and easily extend your time, or there’s some spots with free parking on Sundays. Great location with lots of shopping and food nearby. I loved the room with Savannah artists, and the massive paintings in the rotunda. I’d recommend seeing River Street first, since lots of the Savannah art shows scenes of that area.
This museum is part of the coastal heritage society package, where you can get three adult tickets to applicable museums at a discounted cost. This place is beautiful, oyster shells literally everywhere. I also loved learning about the oyster shuckin
I had such a lovely visit to the house during my trip to Savannah this last week! I've been a long time fan after studying her in college and was so excited to see her childhood home was open to tours! The inside has been wonderfully restored to the
Visiting the first school for African American children in Savannah. As a former Principal, I felt honored to be in the space. I learned a lot that I never knew I didn't know. I suggest people join the African American Freedom Trail Tour when you co

Perfect place for a small wedding ceremony. Reasonable pricing. Sheena was absolutely amazing to work with and so sweet. It would be nice if they had their own chairs that you can pay extra for, which would be my only very small complaint. Definitely
My 9 yr old requested to go visit this museum and SCAD did not disappoint him at all. He was impressed with everything and that he could interact with the displays. Through the eyes of a child this museum gets a 10/10!

Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T

Friendly service and great food. I ordered the Curried Goat with fried dumplings and peas and rice. The goat was perfectly seasoned and tender and the rice was some of the best I've had. It was my first time having fried dumplings and they are quite
I was just here for the first time this afternoon. I was welcomed by âAliceâ who knows much about the history within the exhibits. Immediately upon entering, you witness wall to wall military artifacts of various theaters. The nice feature about
Great place to stay. The only thing that could have made our stay better would be a better mattress in our room. You are literally so close to a perfect review, but the mattresses need improvement!
We were visitors at this studio for the day during our trip to Savannah. We absolutely loved the spaciousness of the lobby and the studio. They had the new treads. The rowers are closer together than some other studios but the floor was super spaciou
What a great way to end the tour of the American Prohibition Museum. The bartender was so friendly and interactive with all of us in the bar. We had a fun experience with Malört and toasting to my birthday. The two cocktails(Sidecar & French 75) we
