Great food! They specialize in beef and bison, so probably not your place if you don’t want red meat. Our service was prompt, and we enjoyed the burgers that we got. There was plenty of seating when we came on a Friday night without a reservation. Parking right next to the restaurant is limited, so you may need to walk a bit.
Quiet afternoon stop for a bite to eat. 1:30pm on a Thursday so it was quiet and not busy at all. Seated immediately and server was quick to stop by. Great selection of local draft beers to include Port City. We got the Bison Blue Creek Burger and the Strawberry Shortcake dessert. Burger was excellent and cooked perfectly. Dessert was exceptional; fresh cream, fresh Strawberries and homemade biscuit. You won't regret either. Their half sour pickles were an amazing start to it all. Definitely recommend.
Wanted a quick bite. I ordered the nachos and 50/50 sweet potato fries and onion rings. I was thoroughly disappointed. Nachos were soggy (did not pick it up late), toppings were very sparse, no flavor, and a lot of chips. Sweet potatoe fries were thick cut with skin on which made it very uncomfortable to eat. Onion rings were in a weird batter (bread crumbs? Maybe) not crispy. You can’t mess up appetizers so definitely wouldn’t come back for their entrees. Counter tops were sticky.
Bison burgers were fresh and delicious! The homemade chips weren't soggy. The macaroni and cheese was awesome! As a matter of fact, everything was great! The fresh squeezed lemonade was very tasty. Nice and hospitable staff, clean restaurant with awesome atmosphere, great prices, and amazing food! What more could you ask for? One of my better food experiences in and around DC.
Wonderful place to enjoy dinner. We come every time we are in the DC area. Portion sizes are perfect. Kids loved the Bison Nachos. Salads, Meatloaf, Chicken and all the sides (carrots, broccoli, baked potato and fries) were perfectly cooked and delicious! Service is ALWAYS impeccable and lastly they have freshly brewed sweet tea! Perfect drink for a southerner!
We were here on Saturday around 4:45 no wait got to set outside. If you are not earlier I would make reservations. Service was great even seated outside. We got Grilled Caesar Shrimp and Bison Brisket. If you have not had Bison it’s a little stringlike had a Fantastic Favor I also had FF they were nice and crispy. After dinner we went across the street to RusUz and got Russian frozen ice cream in the little shop at the back of this restaurant. It was a great treat.
Reasonably priced and aptly named Absolutely Best Fish Sandwich ($14) included a refreshing kale salad. Excellent service. Across from the movie theater and close to Wegmans. Easy to get to by Metro or bus if you don't drive.
Simply great! I have some dietary restrictions and it was very easy to make some modifications so I could eat everything on my plate! We waited a little bit to get our food but it was really worth it! The meat tasted great! The portions were big! The salmon was also super nicely cooked and tasty! They have a lot of choices including a nice kids menu! The service was great and friendly and the place super cozy! The price is really good for what you get! Really liked it!
