Went all over the island trying shrimp from various restaurants and Ted's Bakery was hands down the best spot. Their mac salad is also really good, tangy and sweet. I tried the macadamia nut pie and it had bits of macadamia nuts and tasted amazing. Everything I tried was 10/10! This place has lots of outdoor seating under tents and is just a short walk from Sunset Beach.
We drove by and got a few cakes to try which were good. Not the best we've aver had but good enough to come back. There's a huge selection of food ranging from breakfast to lunch, to pastries, pies and cakes so there's definitely something for everyone. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on when you get there.
A memorable visit for a slice each of Chocolate Haupia Pie at Ted's Bakery. This is a busy shop selling cream pies, cakes, breads & pastries, plus hot sandwiches & plate lunches. AKA Ted's Pies 59-024 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712 This is a DON'T MISS stop just down the road from original Giovanni's truck & our scampi lunch. The automatic door was being fixed while we were there but people were getting in & out quickly. Lovely store, fun merchandise, & outside only shaded seating next to street at roomy old picnic tables that could use a nicer finish. Not sure howa handicapped person would get around.
At first I was mehhh this place seems like a tourist trap, but even if it is it's still good. When arrived around lunchtime on a Saturday there was quite a long line, but it went pretty fast. Glad they post the menus blown up outside so you can make some decisions while waiting. Once you're inside they usually have a few registers open to take your order. I love variety so I ordered a regular Ted's bento, which comes with chicken katsu, Mahi Mahi, spam, and Teri beef. This was HUGE and very delicious. Keep in mind that the Mahi Mahi is egg battered, which I didn't expect. Friend got the Teri burger, which was okay (fries were delicious). Gotta save room for desert which is what Ted's is known for. I was recommended to try the chocolate huapia cream pie, which was so yummy! Would definitely come back just to grab some whole pies.
I'm a big coconut fan and the coconut cake they sell is the best. The white chiffon layers are light so you can eat many pieces and not feel as full compared to other cakes. You can really taste the coconut in the coconut cream filling and the shredded coconut is also real coconut which gives it the perfect touch. Don't confuse this review with the coconut roulade, which is another thing entirely from the coconut cake. The roulade is not as good, still good but not amazing, in my opinion. They used to sell individual pieces of the coconut cake but it seems now you need to order a whole cake to get the cake, which is not convenient but more economic than buying many individual pieces. Also recommend the pineapple macadamia nut cheesecake.
Cannot understand the hype. Maybe there are not that many other options nearby. The garlic shrimp was great (but 7 small shrimp for $22, overpriced). The chicken katsu and the mahi mahi were horrible. The guava cake was great. The pineapple and nuts cheesecake and the chocolate custard eclair were horrible. Hit and miss on the food. And the service was subpar. We got these plates that came with a pie or a cake, and they said they didn’t have any pie left, our only option was to pay $2 extra for the cakes. We said we could wait and get the pies after we finish our food, and they said they were not going to have them anymore that day. 5 minutes later they were giving pies to people with their menu. They were also rude, like entitled, they have so many people they don’t care.
All I can say is WOW! What a great little bakery/diner. My wife and I both ordered a burger. I had cheese on mine. It was a nice sized hand formed burger, I'm guessing a 1/3 of a pound. It came on a fresh baked bun. Incredible! We also ordered the strawberry tart. You'll think you've died and gone to heaven. This place is not fancy, but who cares. We ate ours on one of their covered picnic tables in front of the business. So if you're on the north shore of Oahu you have to give this place a try. You won't regret it.
I ate here for breakfast yesterday with the guy's before they went to work. the food was delicious and worth the wait. I would recommend this place.

We were so impressed by all the deliciousness at Haleiwa Joe's. The atmosphere is a little fancy but also very relaxed. Each bite made another one necessary! ð The Ahi Spring rolls were dynamite. We also had coconut shrimp, a couple different fish
I found Snorkel and Dive Hawaii when I was looking to do a refresher course. I hadnât been scuba diving in about 30 years and needed to get comfortable with it again before an upcoming trip. Emilie was incredibly responsive in setting everything up

Gorgeous beach with plenty of space to tan and chill without getting snuck up on my waves or being close to other people. Definitely not a good swim spot. Waves are rough in the winter and the break is right on the shore so beware. Lifeguards patrol
A very beautiful beach with a lot of rocks along the shoreline. Went on a day where it was cloudy, windy, and the waves were a bit too strong so we did not get a good snorkelling experience. I recommend observing the wave strength before trying to go
This place has amazing vegan burgers that are tasty and unique. Both the beet burger and the soy bbq burger were delicious. The food is filling and wholesome, not heavy or greasy. There is parking in the lot next to the cafe, and they have a restroom
Great beach park to have a nice picnic at! Here is also where the Haleiwa Metric Century ride started. You can ride your bike around this area for a stunning view.
An easy hike for young and old, though they also offer $10 cart rides down and up from the falls. The valley also serves as a botanical garden as well as a sacred cultural site where you can learn about the significance of the area to the locals from
The park is nice. The shower and changing room is acceptable and welcomed. We swam with 3 turtles, which was fascinating. Just beware of the typical rocky floor in the ocean.
Best place to view turtles! A little rough for snorkeling... Very busy! Come early! Huge backup to drive last couple miles here which takes around 10+ min for last mile as everyone is slowing down to look for parking and turtles it seemed! Parking is
Nice beach park with parking, restroom, shower, picnic area. There are other beach parks next to each others as well. Wide sand beach area with limited shade near water edge. Some bring beach chairs, umbrella, or tents. It is also perfect place for s
