Tea Island Resort - Resort hotel in Lake George - 3020 Lake Shore Dr, USA

My husband and I recently stayed here for a relaxing weekend getaway. We requested a lake front room and were given room 15. It had a great picture window facing the lake, and you could lay in bed and see the water. |Nice little patio with table and chairs and a bbq grill right outside the door. |The views were beautiful. |Room itself was dated, but clean and equipped with what we needed. Bed was comfy. |Coffee maker, fridge and microwave. |They had free canoes, paddle boards and kayaks, as well as other games on site. The resort is on a steep hill so a little difficult to get down ( and up) especially if someone has mobility issues. There is also a cute little beach area and a nice sundeck down there. ||My only complaint was the walls are super thin and they had someone in room 14 right next door. You can hear everything, which included my neighbor snoring ALL night and announcing to his wife in the morning that he had to poop. Lol it was off-season and seemed there were quite a few empty rooms, so my suggestion would be not to put people right next door, unless you have to! ||All in all it was a great little getaway and I’d definitely stay again!

This resort is located on the lake. What a great view to wake up to in the morning 🌄 😊 😀!!! My husband and I are celebrating our 22nd anniversary this weekend and wanted to get away. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, this is the place to be 💕 💗 💖 ❤️!!! Rooms have mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot (including regular and decaffeinated coffee and tea, as well as complimentary packets with stirrer, sugar, and dairy free creamer). Room service is upon request (which is the norm these days anywhere you go). There are kayaks for guests to use at the lake for free. We booked a private 1-hour boat tour ride on one of the boats docked at the resort. AMAZING!!!!

Stayed at Tea Island Resort for my first stay ever at Lake George. The resort is right on the lake with docks and decks and a closeup view of the lake from all angles. Outdoors, there was a private, but small beach, free usage of the resorts kayaks and canoes, a firepit, outdoor grills, volleyball court, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. The staff was very helpful. We arrived after 10pm and when we couldn't seem to find a parking spot, the manager came out to help us. They also called us while we were still on the road and accommodated our late arrival. I would give our room a B if I were to assign a letter grade. The beds were comfortable and the linen was current. The room was a good size and kept very clean...spotless even. The room had a 40 inch TV, but no cable hookup. There was a ROKU hookup, so we were able to watch Netflix. But if you do that, remember to sign out of any apps on the tv before you check out. There were patio tables and chairs outside of each room. This makes sense seeing this place is likely a warm weather resort. My minor gripes about the room are as follows....the desk/table that had the coffee maker and chair at was wobbly, it should be replaced. The knobs in the tub/shower were also wobbly, but they functioned. The vanity was quite old, but the basin for the sink looked fairly recent. The chair in the room was pretty old too, and the curtains for the side window were too small and the blinds didn't close shut, but thankfully nobody could really see inside our room. One last thing, the railing on the outside deck was full of dead bugs. They really should hose it down, and the building on the outside seems due for a paint job. They should also consider getting a vending machine on the premises. One more thing, a minus turns into a plus here, housekeeping didn't clean the room when I requested it. But when I went to the office to express my concern, housekeeping immediately approached me and said they'd be right up, and they did come. The resort itself is only about a 3 minute drive from Lake George Village and from the steamboat tours. I do recommend that if you are going to stay more than one night, that you bring a few groceries for the fridge and microwave...snack and/or breakfast items and drinks as well. If you do come to Tea Island, I think you'll enjoy. We spoke to several folks who were staying there who go there every year and love it. That speaks volumes. I would definitely stay here again if circumstances allowed. Thumbs up, way up.

Tea Island Resort is a comfy place to unwind and enjoy postcard views. ||Our room was spacious, and had a fridge and microwave so that we could take care of our own meals. We stayed four nights and grilled burgers and brats every evening. ||The walk down to the water is very steep, but even with my bad knees, I was able to make it down and back. Wheelchairs or walkers would need to be driven down. ||There are kayaks and paddle boards to use, and we did get to spend a little time on the lake. ||The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire property is clean and well maintained. ||If we are ever in the Lake George area again, I’d choose this property in a heartbeat.

Loved the stay here. Utmost clean room. Comfy beds. The view of the lake is gorgeous. Check in was friendly and helpful. Parking spot right out front of room. My only dilemma was…… the owners have kayaks, paddle boats and beach chairs to sit close to lake but the walk down the steep hill is pretty scary. Would love to see the owners add on stairs or a Rail to hold on to going down so I could walk down and enjoy all those wonderful things. Would definitely stay here again.

There are good things, not so good things, and a great thing. First the good: The view is gorgeous, there are a few activities there if you choose to play (vollleyball, horse shoes, kayaking, shuffle board, etc.), and last, but not least, the staff is AWESOME! I asked for the hook in the bathroom to be lowered (it was all the way at the top of the door) and the maintenance guy fixed it! Now the not so good. The 3 bedroom house that we stayed in has been updated, but could use some renovation. You have to walk up a small ramp to get into the living room, the blinds are not great if you like privacy (though they fixed them the best they could), and the kitchen floor felt a bit uneven. And now the great! We needed to extend our stay by one day, but the house was not free for that night. Kathleen made arrangements for us at their sister location, The Sun Castle Resort, for a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhouse. This place was FANTASTIC! Thank you Kathleen and the entire Tea Island Resort staff!

A very nice location on the lake. It's in a nice cove out of the way of the main lake traffic. It is on a hill but most places in the area are. We rented a 2 room cabin with our young adult boys. It came with nice amenities and stuff to do. This is a great place for a family vacation.

It was a great experience staying at Tea Island resort. Kathleen was very friendly and gave us warm welcome. The room was well cleaned and maintained. Only suggestion I have is that the parking is bit inconvenient as not every room has dedicated parking in front. But this is very small inconvenience which can be overlooked as the property has great views of the lake. Truly had a wonderful experience and will surely come back again to stay at this property
