Taverna Veranda - Mediterranean restaurant in Edgewater - 725 River Rd, USA

If I could give more stars, I would!! This place was absolutely amazing!! We chose this location as a girls night for a Monday night outing and were left speechless with the food, drink, and service quality on top of the beautiful, subtle decor and dim lights. Upon arrival (7PM reservation) we were politely greeted and sat in a timely manner. There weren’t too many people there, which made it even better for us. The waiter we had was V (Vivek) which was extremely informative and provided us with ample time to enjoy ourselves, while making sure we were taken care of in a timely fashion. I am 100% vegan & I had several options to choose from. As appetizers, I had the hummus trio with the pita & my sister had the fried Calamari which she raved about!! The hummus trio was absolutely delicious & extremely fresh. The pita? To dieeee for. We kept requesting more as we literally could not get enough. As entrée’s we had cauliflower over hummus, vegetable kibabs - which came with the most delicious basmati rice & arugula salad, linguine, the falafel, & the lamb burger which she said was a 10/10! Honestly all items were a 10/10 & the drinks?! HIT She had a “when life gives you lychees” & I had a “The color up top is the same below”. They were delicious & of course we had seconds. We will absolutely be returning!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I don't know how this place is in business. I'll start with the extremely salty food. Every single item I ate in our fix menu was extremely salty. This place is overpriced, and they lack flavor and deserts are trash. Literally can walk to trader Joe's and get better deserts. The hostess is rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed, not worth trying because they will SCAM YOU BY ADDING 20% TIP. I don't think it's legal, but I didn't want to make it a big deal. Will never go back to this low class establishment.

I got together with a friend of mine to get dinner. When I arrived I parked in the lot. I walked into a super cute, dimly lit restaurant. We were sat by the hostess, and Anthony was our server, and he was super nice. I started with just water and my friend got a glass of Pinot nior, which was $18. For my meal I got the grilled wings and my friend got the skirt steak. The food looked good when it came out, but when I dug in, I was not a fan of the wings. I did not like the flavors. My friend said the skirt steak was just ok. The place is pricey to prepare and all in all I had only an ok experience!

Such a great night spent here! I went with a group of 9 of us, we did the prefix menu given the reservation size and it was perfect! The food was delicious, they have so much, the ambiance was fun, sexy and the views cannot be beat! To top it off they had a DJ there playing awesome music we all enjoyed. Such a fun and memorable night! Thanks for the hospitality, delicious food, and fun vibe:)

I really liked the atmosphere at this restaurant. Their outdoor seating is perfect for a summer evening. The food is decent as well. We got the lamb burger and the grilled octopus. We also got the chocolate lava cake with icecream and that was probably my favorite thing. The service was just okay.

The happy hour menu was fantastic 👌 the passion fruit margarita 🍹 and the white bean and caramelized onion dip were my favorites. The server was helpful. He recommended the lavender mousse which was delicious. I would visit again 👍

I came here for a brunch with two friends on a weekend. We had a reservation at 12:30pm and there were maybe 2-3 other tables, but by the time we left it definitely filled up. Service was prompt and was checked up on throughout our meal. I was going to order the chicken kebab, but it came with rice - I asked to substitute with salad, but the waitress said they didn’t do substitutions to keep “the integrity of the dish”. Which led me to order the best possible thing on the brunch menu - Veranda style eggs Benedict. Perfectly poached eggs on top of seared mushrooms and.. SPINACH PIE. I may be biased because I’m a sucker for spinach pies, but it really was the perfect combo. We also got the Marouli salad, really light and refreshing with the touch of dill. However, it was a bit too salty for our taste.
