Taverna - Italian restaurant in Atlanta - 280 Buckhead Ave NE, USA

I love this place. The food was wonderful and the servers were great. Phil and Carlos helped us out and they were both great. Their recommendations were perfect for my liking. Also, kudos to Chef Alvin! He made sure that we enjoyed our experience. 👍🏾

At 8 p.m., I attended this establishment for a birthday meal. The environment was excellent; the restaurant was rather packed, but the lighting was muted, providing for both solitude and comfort. Several of my friends and I got the burger and fries. The burger was mediocre; the beef tasted as if it had been lightly seasoned rather than massaged or marinated. The arugula gave flavor, but the cheese was adhered to the patties, so there was no distinct flavor. The bun was tasty; it was thick and flavorful on its own. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and wonderfully fried in a flavorful oil. Overall, this restaurant has a peaceful, slightly pricey air, and while the design is attractive, larger parties will have limited privacy.

The place is very cool, super cozy. The service is very good, the food is wonderful. Try the risotto with burrata, it’s divine. And the kale salad and ask for the additional chicken. And to finish with a flourish, don't forget to order a dessert, we ordered the frittelle della nonna, it was very good. I will definitely come back.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about our experience this past weekend. My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday. We had a party of 20 people. The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere.. everything was great! From the hostess to our waiter and waitress, everyone was so friendly and took care of us in an amazing way. I wanted to shout out our service individually but I couldn’t remember their names :(.. No one was ever waiting on anything despite how big our party was. The employees even wanted to join in on our bday celebration and wear our bday stickers that my friends had in the pictures! HIGHLY recommend going here especially for your bday. The birthday sparklers were so much fun and the cake was delicious! We’ll definitely be back! THANK YOU TAVERNA ❤️

Great place for Saturday brunch with friends! $3 Aperol Spritz/ mimosas is a great bonus! Food is always good. Highly recommend the burger and chicken n waffles!

My sister and I came to Taverna for my birthday and it was the best experience ever. The food was delicious - we had the burrata salad, salmon and mushroom risotto. But the service was really where they shined. Our waitress Chris (sp?) went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable night. I truly haven’t experienced such amazing attentive and special service in a long time. Plus, the atmosphere on the patio was so nice - quiet and private with some liveliness from the restaurant and street. Couldn’t recommend this place more for any dinner or especially a special occasion. 10/10!

We stopped by Taverna for a quick meal before going to a show, but it took longer than expected. While the food and drinks were delicious, the slow service from the kitchen made us wait quite some time between getting our drinks and food. Additionally, the loud atmosphere made it difficult to have a conversation with my dining companions. On the plus side, the service staff were polite and pleasant, though it did take a while for our water glasses to be refilled. Overall, if you're looking for great Italian food and drinks, Taverna is worth a visit, but be prepared for slow service and loud atmosphere.

The food and service was outstanding. I would give the food 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and service 5 stars out of 5. My problem was the music, it was so loud that everyone had to speak louder to hear any conversations. There was no way to have a nice comfortable relaxing lunch/dinner at this restaurant. By the time we left, I started to get a migraine and it didn’t end until the following day. Maybe the restaurant is geared towards a younger crowd who loves loud music.
