We are from Texas and we stumbled in to this great place. Jimmy his cousin and Beth and Charlie made us feel at home. If you are ever in the area then stop in! Tell them John and Mary Lou sent you they will treating you like family!! Great place!!!
love it here. A very, very cozy bar... has two dartboards. But just like most other bars [in Lake county] are... Video Gaming Machines have now taken up the space where pool tables used to be & more...
Awesome classic Dive/Neighborhood Bar, My favorite bar on the planet!!
A gross, dingy, dive-bar. If you want a stiff drink in a dirty glass served on a sticky bar, you found your place. Bathroom is a closet with a wooden floor, a dissembled sink, and a single, permanent hanging towel for everyone to share. Staff and patrons seem proud of this grossness. Good place to end your night of heavy drinking, but I would get all my shots first, and not touch the food until things are cleaned, thoroughly.
The young lady that worked the evening of Aug 21st 2021 was not very nice. The only time she smiled was when asking for payment. I'm sorry but in a social atmosphere when people are their to enjoy friends and maybe meet new people that could become friends the employees should be happy and welcoming. She had an attitude like she didn't want to be their. Not social at all. Definitely did NOT make me want to return or tell people about the Tavern. Also the womans bathroom was so small. Their is a dart board placed in an area that it shouldn't be. Absolutely no space to move around. The whole place was just to small. It needs to be expanded or moved, and social bartenders. Oh! Even the railing outside was so loose I thought it would break any second.
Bartender was nice,. Tall man, I'm guessing a few years older than my 44. Crowd was meh....young and speaking of things better talked about in private this was a Tuesday night in June. I miss the pool table
Nothing but a dive bar. Without question full of lowlife's, a few (2~3) of the patrons are cool, the rest? Not trustworthy, so keep your back to the wall. Strongly recommend the Time Out bar on the corner of 7th & Sheridan over this dump. Half of the bartenders are drunk (not falling drunk, but significantly inebriated) during their shift hours, and are (putting it nicely) less than pleasant when you ask them for a drink. Their prices are steep, the patrons are highly questionable, and they serve no food (unless you wish to pay $5 for a frozen pizza that only costs a buck at the store and taste's like cardboard).
No better bar in the area! Friendly staff, great drinks, and good vibes!
Met the nice husband/wife couple who own the place. Enjoyed the coffee. I ordered a grill cheese sandwich. She asked if I wanted garlic and something else I donât remember. Absolutely best grilled cheese sandwich ever! Was able to sit and relax in
