We enjoyed our lunch quite a bit! This is very authentic and it seems like folks from African communities actually eat here. The bbq chicken was super super tender and flavorful. The rice was incredible. You don’t get goat in a lot of places and we had it as one of our entrees. Very tender and right off the bone. Owners were very nice and helpful! You order up front and then sit down to wait for your food. We even got bananas for desert. Parking wasn’t a problem for us. Keep prayer times in mind. The restaurant closes when staff heads to prayer. Give it a shot and see what you like.
I was very impressed by this location. Wasn't 100% what to expect but I enjoy trying new things. The service and food was fantastic. The place itself was very clean and very comfortable. Parking is quite tricky, I recommend parking in the lot just south of the strip the restaurant is in and walking the half block.
Awesome! East African food, Tasty, a clean restaurant and friendly service. Highly recommended 💯👌
Tried their food for the first time. Testy, halal and clean food. Will definitely come again!
From the anjero, sambusas to the goat and lamb-you'll find something at this Somali/Kenyan restaurant.
Delicious. Purchased a plate for myself. However, after my kiddos took a bite it became their plate 😁
A bit sketchy but the food was worth it. Very plentiful and delicious. The owner and servers were really friendly. Best halal option in town.
Food was okay. Samosa was very good but not Halal.

Everything is an explosion of flavor combinations and textures. Madeleine does an amazing job however this salad, the Smokey Pecan Salad, just entered a new realm. Absolutely amazing and my new NWK favorite..next to the Giardiniera Hummus.
Thank you
I stopped in Des Moines for a couple of days and the crew at CrossFit Akeso treated me like I'd been a member for years! Big thanks to the 5:15 am class for the hospitality. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Des Moines.
Great coffee and friendly service. The barista made my coffee with love and really tried to get to know me while I waited. You can tell how much he loves his job abs itâs so contagious! What a great way to start your day with a good cup of coffee a

10/10 meals and customer service. Trying out Prep Kings to support the changing season of our life and what a blessing itâs been. Because of the quality fresh ingredients used you know exactly what youâre eating making them super macro friendly.
This is one of the most beautiful coffee shops Iâve ever seen! I was in Des Moines looking for a place to do some computer work and get some coffee and this is the best possible place. Very thoughtfully designed interior. I found myself transfixed
Des Moines has amazing food. Manhattan Deli is the best sandwich shop in town. Service is always fast. The Mama Mia is my favorite, but all the sandwiches are tasty.
Tour guide gave lots of good information about the history of the building. The building itself was spectacular and beautiful. Kudos to the state of Iowas for preserving and maintaining it.
Iâm a big fan of Des Moinesâ growing cocktail scene, and SA is a cool out-of-the-way spot thatâs not really out-of-the-way. Cozy interior, but it really shines on warm days with a large back patio. The southwest sider was a perfect gin drink fo
I was here last summer, so it was nice to come back. The service and atmosphere is great! I specifically remember the pleasant staff, atmosphere, and local artwork!!! They had some stained glass pieces that really resonated with me that summer.
