He hired me as an employee to consult for him, however the expected client, who had already interviewed and accepted me, turned me down for reasons I cannot state, but had nothing to do with me nor Mr Merchant. Without a client, he kept his promise and paid me the expected salary while I was on his bench. I taught myself a new technology and he obtained an interview at Amoco. I was accepted and using the same new technology was able to lead a team of developers to deliver ahead of schedule. He was always up front and honest with me. He is hard-working and dependable.
