It is advertised as fine dining and was just what I expected. Very small servings, decorated to be pretty and very overpriced for what you get. Won't be going back. Can prepare better food at home for 1/4 the price. The service was very good. Very limited menu.

In mid january 2024 I spent 3 nights at the Tarpon Lodge. My room was in Island house and did not have a balcony but I was happy to get a room at the last minute. Islandhouse rooms are on the second floor with a bar underneath. I was concerned about the noise but it rained for the following two days so the bar was closed. Entering the hallway to the rooms you immediately notice very stained old carpeting with a slight smell and the corridor is lined with faded old furniture. I had a room on the back side with no view only a small window looking out at palm trees which was not unpleasant. The room itself had the same dark carpeting as the corridor and beige walls and spotlessly clean. The paint was scuffed and chipped and the furniture looked like leftovers plus the shower curtain rod fell down several times, twice when I was not in the bathroom and once on my head. Very disappointing for the price. I had a look at the waterside rooms - they were renovated, no carpeting and nicely furnished. I could hear the guest talking and taking a shower in the room beside me and people in the corridor. Plus the rooms are above the parking lot and entrance road to the marina. The price included continental breakfast and was underwhelming. Commercial orange juice and regular coffee, no decaf and no fresh squeezed oj. Assortment of bread and cereal boxes plus hardboiled eggs. As I cannot digest gluten, I had two eggs the first morning but there were no eggs on the last morning so I had coffee and left. I have had the same breakfast at some very economical hotels. Nothing special. Overall very disappointing. The dinners each night however were terrific, excellent food and service. The location is lovely but pay the extra for the waterside rooms and go to Salty Girls for breakfast.

To be honest, we didn't stay as guests. We set up for Luna C.E. events ( wedding) , first time working there. The management and staff are absolutely great, friendly people and very hospitable. The location is incredibly beautiful, secluded, peacefully quite.

Lovely lodge located on the gulf with fabulous views. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. We stayed in the island house with water view and that was comfy and quiet. The restaurant food is very good but not 5 star. Drinks are good. They were mindful of my gluten allergy and I did not have any issues. Don’t miss the music happy hour under island house. It had such an island feel. 😍 pictures are view from the dock and our room.

A classic Florida resort with an amazing restaurant and exceptional staff. I will start by saying that I was wondering about the lodging upon arrival as quite a bit of water from recent rains and an older building on stilts housed the main hotel. ||First the hotel: classic not dated, clean comfortable rooms, not large but definitely not cramped. I had two beds, a work desk with ample power and usb ports. All worked well. ||Restaurant: lunch and dinner were off the charts delicious with great service. Day 1 fish tacos for lunch were delicious, coworkers were thrilled with the steak wrap special, fish sandwich, and burger. My favorite was the first dinner which started with the Cajun shrimp, the bruschetta (a variation on the classic that was delightful), and the fish bites. My main was the triple tail. Day 2 we repeated the same starters and I went for the red snapper which was also great. The people who got the streaks were thrilled. I learned that while some of the specials repeat (e.g., the triple tail the preparation along with vegetables and starch change so always different same is true for the straks specials etc.). ||Bar: small, good service, wide range of beers and wines. Great mixed drinks. ||Grounds: very nice, little evidence of stomach damage remains. The area under the guesthouse was great to hang out in the evenings or use as an office on breaks. The pool and dock were also good. ||People: everyone was fantastic, can’t say enough about the hospitality. ||Meeting room: actually part of the dining room, so a hard stop to turn over for dinner, some service items are in that area so staff is in and out, little impact on our meetings. I recommend returning as did everyone else. ||A great three day meeting.

What a great place! The staff is amazing, they really make sure that you have everything needed. We stayed in the Boathouse which is perfect for a family of 4 and our dog. I really liked being able to park my truck and trailer right out by our room and that I could tie up my boat right in front of my room was a plus. The docks are excellent and have water and electric at no additional cost. The food is great at the restaurant and the atmosphere is perfect, the lodge has been there since I believe 1926 so it is really cool. If you like to fish the SW coast of FL this is the place to stay! We are planning on going back very soon!

Came in for the views and had the most wonderful dining experience. Our server Carol was prompt and new the menu extremely well . The butter is to die for and the manager Christian was one of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met. Definitely coming bac with family and friends. This is a must kno restaurant for the Lee county area.
