This place is a wonderful pitstop. Big lagoon campground is a few miles down the road for camping. This trail is just over a mile long with lots of different plants
Great park, honor system entrance. Went just to see the carnivorous plants. Beautiful. Please stay on the path, plants are delicate and boot prints are ugly.
It was so incredibly quiet and the nature was breathtaking.
Well maintained parking area. But it's on a busy two lane road. Overflow parking was on the side of the road and seemed dangerous. Two good trails from here. One is concrete or boardwalk out to the bayou. The other broad and a little sandy. I went on a busy April weekend and ironically they was nobody on the paved trail. Not a lot of diversity in ecological communities, but we saw some pitcher plants and sundews, and watched ospreys catch fish. Definitely worth visiting but I'd go on a week day.
Nice place to hike! Wide open trails in a woodsy environment. Peaceful, quiet, don't hear traffic! There's a one mile paved loop and a 7 mile hike in the woods in clear, mostly open paths. If it has rained, prepare for some muddy marshy areas you will have to find a way around in the tall grasses and brush. Careful of snakes as there is a lot of tall grasses and pine straw they like to bask in on a sunny day. I saw a small corn snake which was basking in the middle of the path. I didn't see him until he slithered away. He was harmless, but there may be some that are not. Just be aware and wear long pants preferably Jean's and closed toe shoes. If you keep hiking straight you'll come to the end where it meets the gulf shores. Very beautiful, and miles of beach!
Perfect for my school project involving animal tracks. I found many deer tracks, raccoon tracks, and squirrel tracks. I also used my Seek app to learn about the different plants there. I love that much of the area is still untouched.
Great place to come take a stroll mostly shaded!
Great place for a long walk or hike. Bring proper shoes and drinking water if you're planning the longer bay trail. The shorter trail is a very easy walk. Definitely consider the weather, there isn't much shade and the longer trail it can get very muddy after a good rain.

Best childrenâs playground we have seen in the area hands down. Lots of places for creative play and climbing. Safe for toddlers. Lots of nice shaded picnic tables and near the water. Also has relatively clean restrooms. Highly recommend for your l
We had a celebration of Life here & there's only 1 area for eating. It would be cool if there was a area just for grilling out like what they have out at Pensacola Beach with the stationary grills. It would be great to have a portable bathroom there.
Beautiful park to have a picnic or BBQ at. Lots of wildlife to view, saw dolphins and a few birds yesterday. Nice little trail to walk around and they have workout equipment.
Take my dog to the dog park. They always have tennis balls and toys to use. Gates are not difficult to open but not easy for a dog either. Fence is secure and it's one of the bigger areas locally. Perfect for when they are playing with paws or shredd
There are 2 swings for toddlers and 2 for kids to adults. The playground equipment is great for ages 2+ and can even accommodate the adults to help navigate. There's a jungle gym dome, rocking horses, and leap pads too! There are some woods next to t
Is a very chilled park, take my daughter there once in a blue. They have a good playground. Kids love it and they also have swings. Also they have a field is you want to play ball. The neighborhood looks pretty decent. Over all is a very good park.
Amazing little food truck! You can really taste the love and thought that went into everything. Owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are very fair for the portion size and the hand cut fries are awesome. Definitely recommend trying the
