Taqueria Y Rostiseria El Rey - Mexican restaurant in Riverdale - 5401 Carters Ln, USA

My first time here and I really liked my torta de al pastor. Coming from LA, it's hard to find good Mexican food out here and Taqueria y Rostiseria El Rey seem like it'll scratch the itch

restaurant is in the cut a little bit, you might pass it the first time you go there cause its hard to read it from a car. then when I walked in, I noticed that the spelling on the door was wrong. then when i ordered they rush you to pick something. even asked for extra tomatoes and extra lettuce my tacos. and they couldn't get it correct. just a few pieces of lettuce and even fewer tomatoes. while waiting for the food, I wanted to use the bathroom, to find out the doors have key pads which only 1 waitress knew, so I had to wait till she was done cooking something, then everyone telling her to hurry up and open the bathroom for me was weird too. food did come out quickly but tasted a bit bland . I'm not coming back. sorry

One of the best tacos in Maryland! $4 for 1 Taco of any meat might seen expensive but the quality of it is so good 👍 They do the tortillas by hand when you order it! The meat is also good because it has a lot of it!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! Spend your money somewhere else. The food taste old and microwaved. My last visit was a few days ago.. it was not busy at all, I stood in line and stared at the cooks while they “cooked”. A lady with blonde hair was getting ready to take a plate full of tacos to a customer, as she was leaving the kitchen she grabbed pieces of meat from the plate with her bare hands!!! She instantly saw me and her eyes widen but decided to carry on. Still served the food to the customer in-front of me. SMH makes you think what else these people are getting away with. Didn’t seem like it was her first time doing that either!

Big portions. The dishes I've order have always been tasty (tacos de lengua, caldo de pancita). I like the kind of tortillas they use for the tacos.

The tacos de carne asada are the best. But they keep getting more and more expensive.

Good take out food. I love those tacos (lengua) and the “torta” is more like a “mexican”? sandwich. All good experience.

There was a hair in my food but over all good food
