My family road trips from Texas to Massachusetts every summer and we try to find a clean, affordable hotel to crash somewhere north of NYC for the final leg of our trip. This year we found the Tapa Hotel and were extremely pleased with our experience from start to finish. We booked over the phone with the general manager who was incredibly helpful. The hotel was right by the highway, but still very quiet. The area is safe and the parking lots well lit. The hotel is extremely clean. Our room looked brand new and was very roomy. Breakfast was included and had cereal, coffee, juices, eggs, bacon, sausage, and yogurt. For a budget hotel, the Tapa Hotel is one of the best I've stayed at. We plan to keep this place in mind for future road trips. Highly recommend!!
Do not stay here. This hotel is infested with ants. The manager says they come from eating food in your hotel room. Have you ever ate in a hotel room and saw ants as a result? I haven’t. But I didn’t even eat in this room. The ants were spotted when I first got there. Breakfast was not good. Service was bad. Price was pretty reasonable. But you know what they say, you get what you pay for…
Do not stay in this hotel. It’s infested with ants. Very rude, nonchalant manager. His response was when you eat in the room it attracts ants. Although I didn’t eat in this hotel room, I have ate in others and never had an issue with ants. I took several videos of this infestation. I couldn’t even stay in this hotel. I left. Find another hotel.
We checked into the Best Western down the road, and had to walk out because of how disgusting it was. We called Tapa @1am (we had just come from a near by concert), and asked if they had any rooms available. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and accommodating and told us to come in and he will take care of it. It was perfect. Clean and comfortable. It was a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this hotel and if I’m in the area, will definitely return.
I was very pleased with my accommodations. My suite was clean and neat and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was more complete than I expected, with sausage and fried eggs for making breakfast sandwiches. I would stay there again.
Hotel was nice, very clean, nice size suite. Looks dated and needs some repairs. Breakfast was not good. Had eggs, some weird meat, bread, and cereal.
Very clean, convenient location, and quiet. Staff was very accommodating and the breakfast selection was very good. Most affordable hotel in the area too which was an added bonus. 10/10
Left a personal pillow behind…called after I left and spoke to someone. They said they’d return the call. Two days later I call they said they threw it out. Then the guy on the phone gives me an attitude. Tells me nothing he can do. Stay someplace else other than here. It’s worth an extra couple of bucks.
