Tangiers Motel - Featured Reviews (227)
My family and I have stayed here two years in a row and feel like this will be our go-to spot for a while! They are a block and a half away from the beach which is GREAT, especially with kids and beach items. Both years, we were accommodated to have first floor rooms to make it easier with the kids. There is a pool, sun deck, and even a little breakfast & lunch restaurant attached for easy meals. They are clean and don’t smell like other musty motels along the shore!
Nice motel in Wildwood Crest. Big pool, cute cafe on property, clean and close to the beach. Read lots of negative reviews on here, but we were pleasantly surprised. This motel isn’t fancy or incredibly modern (like most properties in Wildwood), but the room was functional and clean, the pool was large with nice lounge chairs, and having a cafe on-site was a bonus. We enjoyed a nice breakfast. Short trip to the beach. One tip: BYO k-cups. Our room had a Keurig, but no Kcups (this may have been an oversight).
I was shocked this hotel was close to $200 a night once I entered the room. The room smelled, the surfaces in the room were dirty and never cleaned. Sticky food on the table, an inch of dust on other surfaces clearly not cleaned. I couldn’t tell if I was sleeping on the mattress or the box spring… it was that bad. The bathroom is in desperate need of an update, appears to be from the 60s. They had the nerve to charge a $200 security deposit, I understand security deposits are common practice.. however, you couldn’t pay me $200 to take something from that room. I felt really icky staying in that room. Pool was nice and plenty of outdoor seating- only positive I could see. The price point for the quality of this room would be $50-$70 a night- do not spend more than that to stay here.
Overall a very good experience. The pictures were a bit misleading and the rooms are not very updated (not a big problem) still very clean. Cafe was great! Really loved the location, and we only really needed the room for sleeping and showering as we were out for entirety of our days.
I cannot say enough about the exceptional customer service from Annmarie. I just called to book at this hotel, and I am looking forward to visiting with my family. Annmarie provided me with top notch service! We haven't even stayed there yet, but I know I made the right choice for my family! We go to Wildwood crest every year and are excited to go this year! Hotels in the area need more people like Annmarie on their staff! :)
The rooms were very dirty! Not only that Karen decided to follow my daughters after going to ask for towels after the pool and then walked straight in the room told us we had to leave for no reason and threatened to call the Cops once asked what was the issue we gotta full refund despite the policy rules. the worse experience we ever had in wild wood and would not give us her boss information! I do not recommend this place with your kids they don’t even have the amenities they claim to have hole in a wall
Me and my family arrived 3 hours earlier then check in. We were welcomed by the staff and owners. They were very nice and welcoming. They allowed us to check in immediately even before I asked. Everything is perfect. Most importantly my 5 year old son was welcomed with opened arms and kindness and he loves it all.
The location and the pool were very nice . The waitress in the cafe was also a gem and the food was pretty good . The parking spaces are very small for a regular sized suv . We had problems finding spaces that would allow opening of both doors . The hotel room had a terrible smell and everything gave a dirty feel. The air conditioner had so much dirt on it , I wiped it with one of the two towels that were in the room . The rugs felt as if they hadn’t been changed or vacuumed since 1968 . The room fridge door had to be dragged open and close and the marks on the rug showed it was a constant problem . The sink faucet was missing a washer and water went everywhere when you turned it on . The linens on the bed were so thin we ended up going to Walmart to buy blankets bc the blankets in the room had someone else’s hair in it . The room door (door to outside ) would not shut properly - we went to the office to address the problem and the big solution was to slam the door harder . One of the workers even came upstairs to show me how to “close the door properly” and wasn’t successful the first 4 times he slammed the door shut . I understand a lot of Wildwood is old - but there is a difference between old and just dirty and in disrepair.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Marlin. We were greeted warmly by Marion upon check-in and recommended dining in the area. The Motel was immaculately clean from the common areas, rooms and pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming each da
Family owned, professional staff and they treat every guest like family. They are very accommodating and dedicated to making you and your family/friends feel welcomed. Great parking and just overall satisfied every visit. I will recommend them to eve
Fantastic place, with fantastic people. There was a mixup with our reservation where we didn't show up in the system, but David was more than gracious on working with us. After getting that first night figured out (at his own expense), he made sure a
We stayed in Compass Motel during Labor Day and have to say it was one of our best vacations. Rooms, pool, amenities even stairs were very clean. Proximity to the beach was great. Most of all - the atmosphere was the best. People were really having a
This is seriously amazing food! The most flavorful dining experience we had in Wildwood the week of our vacation there. From the chips and queso dip for starters, to the main course of the pork tacos and steak burrito, to the dessert of a fried and
Really tasty vegan (non-dairy) ice cream! They only have one flavor (vanilla) but it had a great creamy texture. They have several toppings that are vegan although only sprinkles can go on top of a cone (as opposed to a cup). The attached picture is
This is a beautiful well- designed venue. The sound system was excellent . The jazz trio was very good but the crowd was sparse. Traditional jazz is not popular with vacationers in Wildwood Crest.
Visited today, for the first time, to enjoy breakfast and had an excellent experience. The food was fantastic including blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberry and perfectly made French toast. The staff were wonderful too. Our waitress was excell
The food was great and so was the view from the porch! Georgeâs Place offered a really nice lunch and breakfast menu. The waffle was fantastic and the small salads that we ordered with our quesadillas and pita were amazing! The staff were friend
Park looks new and well maintained, and close to the beach. Itâs got swings, a huge playground area, a covered spot for shade, and two full basketball courts. Also it has bathrooms which is great for if you have young kids.
I had a great breakfast with my boyfriend. The food was yummy and there were no issues at all. If you go make sure to bring cash, although they have an ATM the machine works but it can give you certain issues with your withdrawal. The service was gre
Exceptionally clean and wonderful service. We stayed for two nights and in between dishes were cleaned, sheets and beds were made, and towels were replenished without even us asking. Added bonus, we arrived early and our rooms were ready. Liz, who
