Absolutely loved it! Josh Weaver was great! He went through the exhibits and explained them and even did fun quiz questions while showing us around! He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the displays and exhibits. Even took time to tell us must see things at Tropicana Field since we mentioned we were going for the first time as well 🤗 this was a last minute add on to our trip and glad we made the stop! Thank you Josh for taking time and chit chatting with me about baseball in general and even telling me fun facts about my proffered team the Dodgers, will definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

Had a fantastic visit. Enjoyed listening to Josh Weaver explain the exhibits and delve into the details of the artifacts on display. And the many baseball-related discussions we had relating to everything. What had started as a basic visit turned into three hours of talking all things baseball past and present. Well worth a visit and plan on attending one of the regular special events held there.

This museum may be tiny, but Josh Weaver was a fount of knowledge about baseball in general, but especially Florida baseball. He walked us around and shared the high points of their exhibits with little tidbits of knowledge and stories related to the item or the player. It’s quite a thing to see Pete Alonso’s (huge) cleats, the collection of signed balls from players born or raised from the area, and learn more about El Señor, Al López, but the value is found in Josh’s love of the game and his pride in the players that the area has produced. If you’re in Ybor, take 30-60 minutes and let Josh regale you with his stories. More than worth the small fee to visit. As for the museum itself (formerly the home of Al Lopez), it’s clean and bright, well-lit, and the displays are wonderful. A cute little gem worth a stop, for sure!

Visited on Friday 11/10/23. Had a great experience. This place is a treasure in Tampa if you are a baseball enthusiast. Josh Weaver is so knowledgable about the history of minor and major league baseball - a veritable aficionado. Also, very welcoming vibe. I'm an Astros fan and was proudly wearing an Astros t-shirt. I joked about us being a hated team, and Josh said, "No hate here..." He talked to me about my team's managers and players and other teams' managers and players. Admission is very reasonably priced. Be sure to get your picture taken in front of some of the props and displays!!

This is an absolute stop if you are a true baseball ⚾️ fan!! I did not know how much baseball history comes from Tampa. Josh Weaver did an excellent job at presenting the rich Tampa Baseball history. Al Lopez, Lou Pinella, Tony LA Russa, Fred McGriff, Jose Hernandez (RIP), Gary Sheffield, Steve Garvey, Jimmy Herget, Jake Woodford, Oscar Mercado, Tino Martinez, Louis Gonzalez, Wade Bogs, Dwight Gooden, Lance McCullers, Kyle Tucker & so many more MLB stars tied to the Tampa Bay area. This Museum which is the actual house that the Great Hall of Fame Catcher (1977) Al Lopez grew up in made my trip from Texas memorable!

This is a fantastic baseball museum to learn about MLB players from the Tampa area and see cool baseball artifacts and signed pieces of memorabilia. The museum volunteer was very nice and gave us a detailed tour of the museum. We went on a weekend and it wasn’t very busy. I would highly recommend going to this museum if you are around the area.

Josh Weaver was a phenomenal tour guide and a true gentleman. An equal baseball fanatic and Tampa historian, my father and I walked in with very little knowledge of Tampa’s baseball history, and walked out with near PhDs in the subject. Great take and great place, thank you, Josh, and GO RAYS!
