Tail-Gators Brews & Grill - American restaurant in Port St. Lucie - 464 SW Port St Lucie Blvd #103, USA

I came to this location because I was told the location on St. Lucie West was terrible overall. All I can say is that it must be really bad because it wasn't very good at this location either. The poor waitress was overworked trying to train somebody with no other wait staff available. So, I wanted to give her kudos because she was trying her best, and she even told me she had only been working for 3 months, and she was already training someone else. The food was terrible. Almost everything we ordered we had to send back because it was either cold or just didn't taste right. I had a steak sandwich with fries, and my girlfriend had a burger withmashed potatoes that were cold, and then they brought some reheated in microwave it that were just terrible. The onion rings appetizer came out cold, so we sent them back, and then they came out burnt. So guess what, we sent them back, and finally got some edible ones . This place should be killing it but it seems all they are interested in is serving beer to the regulars and not caring about the menu that is large and could be really good if they put some effort into it. Beer was at least cold. I do not recommend until management charges and they care about all their customers.

Look, I usually order the blackened mahi sandwich and it's always good. Once in a while I will forget that that is all I should order here. This is allegedly shrimp scampi, why is the butter burned? Why is it so....brown? Why is my garlic bread sitting in a half inch of oil? I've made this mistake with this restaurant before and I should know better, but man This is ugly food. I can't believe you would send out food like this tbh. Also they have the worst mozz sticks in the area. Just. Idk man, those ain't it. Anyway I can't/won't eat this, so thanks for wasting my money.

Honestly this past Saturdays visit was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. The only positive I can say was the hostess really tried her best. The waiter was horrible and both him and the general manager need some training. The food was a joke a twice bake potato was more like a twice bake potato skin, it took 30 minutes to bring my daughters side dish fruit was ordered they originally brought out French fries as I placed her meal with our drink order, then they forgot to put my other daughters meal into the system so she never received her meal and if I didn’t loose my appetite from the manager hovering over us after I explained to her we are eating I will speak with you about the issue after I eat, to where I gave my older daughter the rest of my dinner since her food did not arrive yet and this about 10 minutes now after receiving our meals to only find out her meal was never put in because the server was so overwhelmed…. He clearly did not know the first thing about waiting tables. I will never return to this establishment.

Tried tail- gators today. I spent $60 on wings, fries, and mozzarella sticks. Extra crispy wings were wet and soggy. The skin was so moist I had to throw it out. I’m not sure you can even call these mozzarella sticks. It’s basically a soggy ball of dough better yet they look like soggy twinkies. They didn’t even give us any wing sauce. I’m just blown away especially when the young lady on the phone said the extra crispy wings take a lot longer. More like wet noodle wings

Nothing special. We must’ve went on an off night, but it wasn’t that busy. Met my sister and brother-in-law there waited over an hour for food. The server forgot to put in the order and told us she was very apologetic. However, there were tables that receded after us that got their food. And with a toddler that’s usually not a good situation. Food came out and it was bland. Ordered mushrooms for appetizer. They were like shredded mushrooms that had been fried. Just overall not a great experience. We don’t live far and it was my first time coming. Don’t think I’ll ever be back.

I think Tail Gators could be great, but there is room for improvement. They have a great menu, a real mix of Flanigan's and Cracker Barrel. They also have fun events there every night and serve sweet tea that is better than most. They could be a nice community hang out. However, their service is extremely slow and at times not very thoughtful. It took 5 minutes before anyone came to our table to get our drink order after we were sat. We had to ask for our own drink refills and silverware. We also had to ask for our own wet naps to go with our wings. I know we were not eating dinner at the Ritz Calton, but I don't think it's too much to ask for basic table service and quick food at a sports bar. Also, they could learn to be more generous with their portions of french fries. They are tasty, but they do not give you a lot. I would go back. I would just ask to be sat with a more experienced server and get double fries.

This place has gone downhill, from Service to food. No hostess, no one acknowledges you for a while, 3 couples walked out while we were there. Only 3 waitresses in the whole restaurant and that includes the bar tender. Had a take out burger with fries got charged $19 and the burger says 13.99 on the menu when I got home there was liters 7 French fries it was ridiculous. Don’t waste your time or money

Visited the new SLW location today around 3:30pm. Our iced tea was dropped off Luke warm, with ice that disappeared completely within five minutes. Ordered the Buffalo chicken salad and it was huge, chicken was crispy, and ingredients were fresh; however the chicken was cold. My husband ordered a seafood platter that was good, but again, cold and the fries tasted like they sat out for a while. The server disappeared after taking the order until half-way through our meal. Two managers and sever other staff members made eye contact as I looked around for help for about 10 minutes, and made NO EFFORT to help us out. Two managers. No teamwork or communication whatsoever. Mind you, three people were also at the host stand and looked out way but saw nothing. They were sufficiently staffed up front, but not one person cared about the customer experience. The food runner did a good job bringing us additional dressing and was more invested than anyone in the front of house. Train wreck. Our server seemed like she had little to no support and did the best she could on her own. I am in the restaurant industry and have never regretted visiting a restaurant more.
