Its was quiet and comfortable, the log cabin feel was qute and the gas fireplaces made the cold nights very nice....it was expensive for the value about 500 per night....but its was basically standard for even the crappiest motels in the area.
Not only was this lodge clean, and cute with in room fireplace, my daughter left a beloved irreplaceable keepsake, the owner Ed, personally called me and kept it safe until I could retrieve it. I want to personally recommend this wonderful place, not just for the wonderful stay and cozy rooms, but the attention to detail and personal attention was impeccable! Absolutely recommend! And we will stay here again 🥰
We loved this place. It was an unexpected treat! The room was clean and cozy and well-maintained. The owners were always around and available and clearly take pride in their business. The owners were very accommodating. The wifi always had a strong signal. The location was convenient to the lake and camp Richardson. I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends if they're looking for a charming hotel instead of the big loud glitzy casino. OH! And the towels were really soft!!!
We just happened in as we were looking for a nice motel for an overnight stay to go hiking the next. The quaint exterior aesthics drew us in and we were delighted to see the rooms were as tastefully done. Everything was immaculate clean and well maintained. The service was excellent. This motel definitely reflects a pride in ownership and is far more than just a "bed and a shower." The pool and spa were also very nice. We want to come back and use the fireplace when the weather cools down. Thank you to the proprieters for a very nice visit.
We were able to get the last room on a Saturday for $400.... kinda pricey for me but we were ready to call it a night. So we closed our eyes and pretended it was $200. The demand is so high around the area , so finding something cheaper might be a challenge and might not be somewhere you want to stay.
Very nice place. Clean and comfortable.
Traveling through the area, tired of staying at the same old motel chains, we were happy to come across the Tahoe Valley Lodge. We enjoyed comfortable beds and an immaculate room, something we don’t see enough of while on the road. We were delighted with the craftsmanship and rustic wood decor of the theme room we stayed in. The small attention to details made staying at the Lodge feel very much like being at home. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and offered us advice about where we could enjoy local entertainment and dining. We felt more like family than customers. || Our advice- skip the chains and stay at the Tahoe Valley Lodge where you will be treated to a warm and welcome visit.
We loved staying at the Tahoe Valley Lodge. The staff is kind, the rooms are clean, and the property is very well kept. It is a charming place to stay with uniquely furnished rooms and is close to everything we wanted to do!

The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
