Tahoe Beach & Ski Club - Featured Reviews (856)
I checked in on July 13, 2024, at your hotel, Lake Tahoe Beach and Ski Club, and we booked two rooms. The receptionist told me that our security deposit would be refunded, but I have not received it yet. Actually, this was the second time I booked at this hotel, and I never received the refund for the security deposit from the first booking either.
Also, our stay was okay. It was a good decision that we stayed only for a night because we didn't really get the room that we expected again. In the description, it said we would have a queen-size pull-out sofa bed with cooling, etc. But NO we didn't have any of that. Just be honest, guys, with your customers.
This place blew me away in terms of overall experience. Beachfront access: Check. Grassy area outside our unit for kids to play while we watch: check. Centrally located w/ a a whole foods across the street: Check. Huge master unit in the 1 bedroom: check. Great bed? Check! Issues with heat? NO! Pool was great, heated, tons of activities, everyone was fun and happy to be there. I couldn't really find any faults here. :-)
The beach at this facility is amazing. As for the rooms, you are fine if you get an interior room away from the road and gas station, however, if you don't be prepared for sleepless nights. The bed in our unit was very uncomfortable. Upon asking for a new room, we were told there was nothing available for a cross trade (same type of room). They did not even offer an upgrade which we would have gladly paid for just to get a good nights sleep!
I can't say anything.Good enough about our stay. The room was spotless and very well appointed. The location is incredible with its own private beach fire pits, spa, pool. All of the service was great everyone was friendly. Check-in.
Was a breeze. There were a few reviews that had some things to say that were less than perfect.. Our experience was wonderful. We tried to turn around and book again and it is booked out solid. That would be the only downfall at this point. The private beach really sets it apart. We made sure to go to every sunset.
This is my 4th time coming here! It’s perfect! I love the clean beach, friendly staff, warm pool, and hot jacuzzi. My kitchenette room was very clean and fully stocked with kitchen tools . The recreational activities are fun, but I wish there was more during the summer weekdays.
No customer care!!! My daughter and I are sick and had to cancel the reservation. I asked them to get some refund or get a credit because we still want to come in a different time. They have no sympathy. I'm booking again for another trip right now but I will never consider your place or will ever recommend others to book with you.
The rooms are not renovated but the location and overall feel of the place makes it worth a visit. The private beach, gym and pool make for a very enjoyable experience. I plan to repeat every year! Very much enjoyed my stay!
1. Ants crawling everywhere. We pulled back the sheets the first night and they were even in the bed sheets.
2. False advertising. Website states all studios have a queen bed. It is a full bed. When I inquired about this after checking in, I was told “full and queen are the same thing”. They are not.
3. There is no air conditioning anywhere on the property. The website does not state this nor did I receive notice of this in the confirmation email.
4. The mattress was so old and worn, you either sink into a hole that rolls you into the next person or it slopes toward the floor.
5. Due to no AC, you have one of two choices. Leave the sliding door open and hear all the loud noises, wake up with the sun, and have lights shining into your room all night. Or, you can close the sliding door and sleep in a very hot room and use the blackout curtains.
6. There is no dresser to even put away clothing
7. Staff acts as though you are a nuisance as soon as you walk through the front doors to check in.
8. Carpet in room is very old and stained.
9. Water pressure was so light it was difficult to wash off the sunscreen/lake water.
When asked for extra pillows, I was told I’d be lucky to get one extra. They gave us a total of 3 pillows in a room with two beds. I ended up getting one extra pillow.
10. I called to inquire why our room hadn’t been cleaned. I asked if I’d already been there 2 nights. I responded that we’d been there 3 nights already. Then after a moment, I was told that unless I’m staying 7 nights or more, I’d have to pay for a room cleaning. We stayed 6 nights. Now I know why there are ants everywhere. They don’t clean rooms on a regular basis.
11. The private beach is a joke. Large groups take all the lounge chairs and don’t even use them so you’re out of luck if you don’t get there early to “claim” chairs. We were there one day and someone had saved chairs that were never used. The private beach is so small and the only thing keeping it private is a sign right next to a public beach and marina.

I have been a time share owner at Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort since 2011. I have been happy with my location but never the service we were promised. Several times one our reservation we were told the room was not available and we were sent to a differ
Newly renovated rooms are awesome, and the location is easy walking distance to heavenly chairlift. Also the valley parking system worked well and way included in the resort fee. Want much atmosphere for what we thought would be a ski week but maybe
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
