I've been looking for a great local spot for Jamaican food and I think I finally found my favorite place. I've tried a few spots in the area and nothing compares to the amount of flavor and the quality of service that I got from Tafari Tropics. I ordered oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage, plantain, and an extra side of curry chicken. The oxtail has amazing flavor and they don't skimp out on the amount of meat they serve with the oxtail. The curry chicken again has tremendous flavor and just the right amount of spice. I also ordered curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain. The curry goat was very tender and just like the chicken had just the right amount of spice. I definitely recommend this place. I'll be back to try out some of the breakfast items.

I eat from here almost every afternoon. And I try to order different items on the menu. So I absolutely love this place. The service is good and I have no complaints. I'm not from New Jersey so this tastes like home. I've never dined in this restaurant always take out, but the amount of food in a medium platter is more than enough.

I ordered on Uber and food was great but extremely spicy for me.I called the Supervisor, she was very pleasant and understanding. Let’s just say they have a new fav customer… I didn’t catch her name . Thanks so much, and to the young lady at the counter thanks much very pleasant as well.

The flavors are nice.... Don't get me wrong, I understand restaurants are in it to make a profit, but come on for the price at least give the better choices of meat. I was given nothing but scrap pieces of chicken! What a disgrace. Never again! P.S. 2 of the meals that were ordered were supposed to come with plantains. Neither one had plantains. 🙄 What a rip-off!!!!

I spent $67 for 3 dinners; 2 oxtail and 1 curry chicken. Got my food home for my family to discover the oxtail dinners only had 5 tiny oxtail in it. Like wth!? They couldve spared the rice and veggies too. The flavors were not terrific either. I do not recommend this establishment unless you like paying big dollars for very small portions. Sunsplash on Main St. in Orange gives your a ton of delicious food for your money worth. Tropics is a rip off.

Food is amazing when you can get it, but they never seem to open when they are supposed to, I’ve been here a handful of times and about 85% of the time they don’t have any food available and won’t take orders until a few hours after they open. I love their food and the people there are amazing but again that’s when you can actually get food. They just need to get organized. I don’t wanna stop coming here but if this continues I may have too. Which is tad bit annoying because the food is amazing

I ordered off Uber eats around 8pm the jerk chicken was delicious , I wish I could say the same for the Mac and cheese . The Mac was very bland and dry , and the rice tasted old as I kept chewing hard pieces . The oxtail was also good but very small pieces should be lowered in price felt like robbery with the meat on those bones .
