Taco Kings - Taco restaurant in Warren - 11520 Twelve Mile Rd, USA

First time here, saw the 4.5 stars and thought we’d try it while in the area. Great size tacos, the steak and chicken were awesome. Didn’t have chorizo this time and we’ll definitely be back to try it!! Chips and salsa free when dining in, there bomb .com

I decided to try this spot for a late dinner, surprised on the steady flow of others and it looked like they had a lot of orders waiting to be picked up. I called in my order and asked if sour cream came on top of or the side of the fajita salad. Jordan said it comes on the side and while it did come with a side, it was also on top of the salad which was very disappointing since I’m not a big fan. I was able to scrape off most of it but still. The queso had really good flavor but was extremely thick, I thinned out with water to make it more dip-able. The guacamole lacked flavor and the salsa was more like canned tomatoes, very plain. I did enjoy the salad. The chicken was well seasoned but the breast was a bit dry and probably could be better if cut smaller or into strips instead of chunks. There was a lot of liquid at the bottom of the container too which makes for soggy salad. Luckil, I like soggy salad but I know most people do not. I probably wouldn’t go back since it’s not close but if I’m ever in the area, I may try something else and eat in instead.

Delightful clean atmosphere & welcoming service with a smile. Our group of 7 went for a late lunch (12:45ish) & fit comfortably at a large table. All our orders came out within minutes, faster than expected. I had the taco salad - a massive crispy bowl chock full of fresh ingredients. We'll all be back!

I don't generally go out for Mexican food, but my husband saw this place in Warren called Taco King and I agreed to take a chance. It's a tiny little place with a lot of atmosphere. There are so many different sauces I couldn't even read all of the bottles. I wasn't very interested in that I was more interested in what the food would taste like and after reading the menu and talking to the young lady at the counter I decided on a burrito instead of a taco which is not like me at all. Well the burrito was delicious with ground beef, beans, real Spanish rice, real cheese, instead of queso, which I requested, onions and tomatoes. It was huge and delicious and I didn't need anything more to eat. However, I was disappointed with myself when I didn't try a beef taco because that's why I went there and the owner, as we refer to as chef, said he was going to make me a beef taco and when I tried to pay for it he wouldn't let me he just wanted me to try it and I loved it! It was packed full of food instead of just a little stuff in a hard shell like many other Mexican restaurants. You can get a soft shell too I just prefer the hard shells. It was fast, inexpensive, worth my time and effort, and very palatable. Thank you so much chef We Will be back! I forgot to mention that my husband had the shrimp taco and the fish tacos and he really loved those too.

The food is basically Taco Bell but more expensive the food has no seasoning and the cheese is extremely sour I bought 1 tostada, a steak quesadilla and coming from a Latino perspective this food is awful and overpriced. I couldn’t even finish the quesadilla. The only thing that’s was decent is the dessert I’ll tell you much but anything besides that’s I advise you to go to southwest Detroit to get some actual authentic Mexican food. Please this food is awful save your money for something 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.

Our 1st time here a few weeks ago, and it was pretty good. We chose to eat inside. I ordered Nachos and a birra taco, and my husband ordered a chorizo taco and walking taco. The nachos were huge! They were good and fresh but could have used more queso and ground beef. But overall, you could actually feed a family of 4 with one regular. Definitely did not finish them. But would get them again. The birra taco was fried nicely, the consumè was not very flavorful and I did not love the birra meat. My husband enjoyed his street taco and the walking taco. The atmosphere inside was a cool vibe. I loved that you could try a ton of different hot sauces. The chips and salsa were good, also fresh. The service was great and very personable. We will return to try some other items.

Been wanting to come here for some time but something always came up were I couldn't. Well I was able to and I have to say the food was fabulous. Delicious, full of flavor, juicy, warm..definitely worth the trip and price. Was greeted by Anyia (I might be a little off on the spelling) nice young woman. She promptly took my order and stated if I had any questions to go ahead and ask her and she would be happy to answer any questions I might have and offered me chips and salsa as I waited for my meal. Currently they have dine-in and carryout to accommodate one's schedule. Atmosphere is also great. Small restaurant but does have 5 tables where one can sit. Some tables can handle up to 7 people. It's an order at the counter and they will bring it our to your table. Soft drinks are bottle or cans (Coke and Pepsi products) plus coffee or water. Several variety of sauces to try on your tacos or burritos. I picked the TK Tacos dinner (pictured) which came with my choice of two sides, which I chose rice and refried beans which came topped with cheese.. All the food was excellent and highly recommend coming here. They are the new kids in town (only opened up 7 weeks ago) so show them some love and patronize their establishment you won't be sorry. They are located just West of Hoover and on the South side of 12 Mile Rd in a small little place next to a Thai Food restaurant. Please show this restaurant some love. They are really great people and awesome food. On a Saturday night hardly anybody was in the restaurant eating. 8/5/23 Second time here and they did not disappoint! This time I had my father with me who is somewhat of a picky eater and hard to please. We walked to counter where we were greeted by Madison. A delightful young woman with a great smile. She took our order and we went to sit down. In no time we had our chips and salsa and it wasn't long before we had our meals. I choose to have the 3 tacos with beef with lettuce and tomato with two sides. Pinto Beans with Mexican cheese and Spanish Rice and dad had the Chicken Burrito which came stuff with Pinto Beans, corn, cheese and chunk chicken. Both dishes were warm and we were delighted by both. The food was warm and tasty. Actually dad who cannot eat a lot finished his burrito. Service was excellent as I expected it would be. Madison was new and knocked it out of the park as well as the manager on duty did also. Highly recommend coming here and show them some love.

Great ambiance, tried milk vanilla cake, steak bowl, and chicken Burrito. They are all great. Hidden gem 💎 highly recommended! Jake is amazing
