Taco King - Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks - 200 Old Steese Hwy, USA

Okay, so here I am in Fairbanks, Alaska, and I am in need of some good old Mexican food, which, to me is just food. My buddy Joe tells me about Taco King and how his family loves it. We go for dinner and I am impressed. I had the Lengua combo and my wife had the Birria Tacos. Both dishes were very good. The beans and rice were spot on and the Birria and Lengua on point. The atmosphere was great and I loved the chairs. It's definitely a must have if you are in Fairbanks. Saludos a Taco King in Fairbanks. A toda M!💯🙏🏼

All hail the king!!!! I decree Taco King as having the best Mexican food in all the North, a bastion of grease and cheese. Many a soul make the pilgrimage to taste the exotic flavors of the southern hemisphere, and I dare say it is worth the journey. The tamales, quesadillas, and nachos are most excellent. Long live the king 🎺

First time here and were trying to find our go-to place for mexican food. Food was DELICIOUS. And portions were huge! We ordered a side of rice and got a huge plate full. Same with the guac. 10/10 recommend. I don’t even want to bother with trying any other places now.

Best street style tacos in Fairbanks. Absolutely love their asada, tortillas are spot on, and rice/beans are good. Food came out quick. Customer service was great, employees are friendly. Eating area and restrooms were clean. The chip and dip is more like nachos with guacamole on top and the cheese, although very good, is not very stringy so the chips slide out leaving the mass of cheese behind. Overall, very impressed and we’ll definitely be back!

First of all, there is no air conditioning so don't even bother eating inside. Secondly, don't even bother eating here. The food is literally just meh. Not only that, it's greasy meh. You order a taco and you get grease. The beans have a strange taste to them. It's hard to figure out what it is, but it's very strange. The rice was generic. No real flavor. The burrito was chicken and it was very dry. There was nothing amazing about the place.

Burrito was delicious and was delivered incredibly fast. Restaurant was fairly clean, the communal sauce station was a bit gross and out of a few items.

I go here whenever I have the chance. I moved out of Fairbanks and into Oregon but still visit every summer and I lived in Fairbanks 11 years. This will forever be my favorite spot to eat, the workers are extremely nice and as far as i’m aware they all speak spanish and english. my go to foods there are asada special tacos or chicken enchiladas. the food comes out super fast and is freshly made (not out of the freezer) this place isn’t just loved by me but loved by my entire family as well.. Kind workers, amazing food, fastly served to you? Now what’s not to love!! Sadly I won’t be visiting Alaska very often anymore but I hope to come here whenever I do.
