Taco John's - Fast food restaurant in Monona - 6305 Monona Dr, USA

First time trying taco John's. Ive always have been a fan of taco bells since the late 70's. and really never tried any competing fast food taco places. The first thing noticed was that this place brought more spice to the party. Besides that, they are very comparable in cost, variety and overall style. I guess if I had to choose between the two, Id lean more towards taco John's due to spice.

I ordered a combo meal, three tacos no tomatoes. LG. The drink was supposed to be an Arnold Palmer. It was awful, tasted like the mix was off. The guy at the window did not speak clearly so his name was difficult to understand. I also think Engkish was his sevond language. For the cost of the food, I expected a nice meal. When I unfolded the tacos out of the foil there was more salad than chicken. No cheese on the tacos. See the pictures below. It was a terrible look and likely not their best work. Extremely disappointed for $14.00+ meal.

This used to be my favorite place to go out to eat I've been going here for many many years, unfortunately over the last two years this place is really gone way downhill to the point where I probably won't be coming back. I actually deleted my positive review from before because I finally reached my final straw when the incompetent staff this time messed up my order again, then overcharged me for my order, and nobody wanted to fix it because it was my fault apparently that they couldn't do their jobs beyond complaining how they deserve to get paid more money to sit around talking. Now I understand why there is no more taco John's in Madison past this location. Obviously if I want good service and or food from said establishment I need to go back to the one in Cheyenne Wyoming where the owners actually care about there customers.

It's a different taco bell. If you want fast food tacos it's the place for you. Nice crunchy shells.

This place is so good. It's Taco Bell, but delicious. Their street tacos are fire. Their menu in general is perfect. I take my kids here whenever we go to the Dells. Please bring Taco John's to Illinois. Thanks.

Another place that makes the Bell 🔔 look like the hole it is. Delicious tacos served in a friendly and clean atmosphere. Plus the tacos actually have a good amount of food in them. And the price point is about the same. So, for my money, this is far superior.

The service here was absolutely fantastic. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was great and was ready very fast. You order at the counter and they give you a number and then they bring your order to wherever you are sitting. Generous portions too.

A bit more expensive than other fast food but totally worth it. The tater tots are incredible, they're like little McDonald's hash browns. The soft shell taco and burrito had lots of meat, and the flavor tasted more authentic than taco bell. Good portions, friendly staff. Highly recommend this place!
