Reserve the seats that face the kitchen. So neat to watch all the dishes be prepared. Food was Perfect. Service was perfect. Everything was so delicious! Our dining experience was a gift, we typically do not dine at a place like this- what a Treat!! Id you have a special occasion and $150 - $250 per person to spend, I could not more highly recommend a restaurant.
My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here. We were both thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. So many local ingredients, even from the private garden out back. Flavors were really thought out and combined in an artistic way. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very expensive even without alcohol but the kitchen staff works hard to bring out 5-7 beautiful courses so it’s worth it.
Really interesting and tasty dishes -- there were ingredients and components that I would never have in my day-to-day because I'm not a huge fan, but Table X managed to make the flavors all work together. We did a 7-course with non-alcoholic drink pairing and the drinks were really well thought out and unique as well. Great service and attention to detail. Spacing of the food was also good. Sources of the food are on the menu and the server will also let you know where ingredients are from as the plates arrive. Overall had a fantastic experience and will definitely return!
Fantastic food. 7 course tasting menu with creative dishes. The menu changes often. I think for me it's just slightly too much food but it is all delicious and ultimately hard to resist. My one complaint- I went twice in the span of 3 weeks and the 2nd dessert didn't quite hit the mark but other than that everything was excellent (the pasta dishes were both incredible). It took us about 2 hours for our dinner which feels about right (although my European stomach would prefer 2.5 hours) . Staff was great. The atmosphere is relaxed but ambiance is elevated which makes for a wonderful atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself. Also, definitely make reservations. We went mid/late week and the place was quite full both times.
Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and it was exquisite! The food was amazing. We did the seven course tasting and each person that served us was professional. They truly knew the ingredients in each of the wines and the food. They have their own garden and use a lot of fresh ingredients in their meals. It was amazing to dine this way. Also the butterscotch pudding was one of my favorite desserts I've ever had. Because of this visit, we are now looking into trying chef tastings at other locations to see if we can have a similar experience. Whenever we are in salt lake we will be back to eat here. It was perfect for us.
Disclaimer: My review is based on an Indian palate. Unless you are used to/comfortable with less flavored or different flavored cuisines other than Indian you would not enjoy the food. Service was great. Ambiance was disappointing. When you are going to a high-end or fine dining you are looking to get not just great food but also a great overall experience which was missing here. We went for 7 course with non-alcoholic drinks. Vegetable steak was the best amongst all , followed by pecan tart. Most of the food has a very common quality which is of acquiring the taste. You would not like it with the first bite but as you continue you will start to enjoy it. Chef’s are definitely being very creative and serving smthing unique that you would not find elsewhere but that does not translate to mind blowing for you. I did not find my value for money which was $300+ for 2 ppl including gratuity.
Delicious food that is for a sophisticated palate. Each course was full of flavor and complex tastes. Their sourdough bread and fermented butter was fantastic! So much that we had to order bread to go to eat at home later. Service and staff were great and the spacing of time between each course was perfect. I love the description of each course as they presented it and that the menu was left on the table to know what was coming next and to see what vendors they use locally. I admired they added an additional required tip to support their staff. Honorable to mention the struggle within the restaurant industry to help make more people aware. The restaurant has a more open modern rustic design. This was my only thing that wasn’t my favorite. I wish they had more private booths as opposed to open small tables. It felt a little more informal for the incredible food you eat there. Definitely recommend going. Perfect place to celebrate any occasion or just to enjoy fine quality food with delicious fresh ingredients from local vendors.
A phenomenal experience! We did the 7-course tasting with the respective pairing. Favors were great and the amount of food was decent. Service was very attentive and the staff were also went above and beyond to show me around the restaurant space and back garden. Highlights for me were the bread, pasta, fish, and steak. Do not be afraid to ask for more bread, it is delicious. The space is a converted warehouse with heaps of charm. I would definitely dine here again when I’m in SLC again.
Great for girls night! Plenty of seating! Our server Lo was very friendly and provided excellent service! We were a rowdy party of 6 and she remained positive, polite and patient with us! The atmosphere was very relaxed, we were there for 6pm and wit
Don't listen to the other negative reviews. This place was great! I had the Iron man bowl and my husband had the steak and eggs. The steak was tender and tasty. The only thing we didn't like was the tea-I think someone mixed up the tea and iced c
From Scratch will always be my go to place in Salt Lake City. I love that everything is from scratch. The pasta, the bread, the sauces. The risotto cake with the tomato sauce and arugula is the best thing Iâve ever eaten in my life. The wood fired
