Simply spectacular! There are not many places like it, other than Bondcliff, but Table Rock is far more accessible to get to, even though it is so far north. Worth the trip to do this short 1.5 mile hike to the pinnacle rock overlooking Dixville Notch and the Balsams Resort.
We huffed and puffed our way up the fairly steep trail, inhaling or swatting at the entire NH bug population along the way. Having done so, we arrived at the top in a little over 30 minutes, but like others have said: 45 minutes seems more reasonable. There's an even steeper declining portion at the end that leads onto the rock. But the view once you're there? Worth all the uncomfortableness and extra protein. 100% would do this hike again.... in at least a few weeks. ⛰️ ☁️ 🌤 Allow about 2-3 hours total, depending on your pace.
I have wanted to take in this view for many years and finally was able. It was Breathtaking! Not a long hike but difficult and dangerous at points. Takes a bit of nerve to walk out to the ledge.
This is a short walk for a fantastic view. There were a few parts I couldn't catch my breath but it's been awhile since I hiked last. It was absolutely worth the three hour drive I took to get there. I'm also pretty sure you can see Canada from here but don't quote me! That's just what I was told.
The trail we did wasn't too difficult, however I guess there is a shorter trail that is much steeper. The view was stunning if you are brave enough to go out on the ledge!
Good hike with a couple of great views
Took the steep path up. Was honestly a bit better being wet ground for grip climbing the trail.
Wonderful place, and it's a go to every time we are in the area. Perfect spot to grab seasonal and fresh veggies, meats, etc and support the local farmers. Be sure to try a loaf of the English muffin bread... toast in a pan with butter or make a gr
Good beer! Just had pretzel and fries..they were very good! Nice to see in the new building. Not much signage by the road, but gps took us right there. Pizza was great on our next visit
Dixville notch is an underrated tourist spot in northern New Hampshire. The beauty of this place is beyond any descriptions. You can hike to top of the table rock mountain. The reflection of fall color in the lake is spectacular.
We stayed with Amy and Charlie during a skimobile trip. We saw their sign on one of the skimobile trails last year when we stayed at a different place. Bear Rock suites is very cozy, well decorated and furnished, clean, and conveniently located. The
